It has been debated for a long time when AMD’s new flagship processor Ryzen 9 9350X will hit the market. AMD has now stated in a blog post that the release of the Ryzen 9 9350X is delayed.
When is the new release date for the Ryzen 9 9350X?
AMD aims to have the new release date for the Ryzen 9 9350X in November 2019. Then the new flagship processor from AMD should be officially available.
The third generation of Threadripper from AMD is also coming in November.
Who is the Ryzen 9 3950X interesting for? The Ryzen 9 3950X from AMD offers you 16 cores that can handle 32 threads. In direct comparison, the i9-9900K from Intel is currently significantly cheaper than the Ryzen 9 3950X.

Are there already benchmarks for the Ryzen 9 3950X?
In fact, there are already initial benchmarks, of which Winfuture reports. In the well-known Cinebench R15, the Ryzen 9 3950X achieves a value of 5501 points and thus breaks all previous records. This value of the Ryzen processor is even above the value of the Intel Core i9-9980XE, which achieves 5320 points.
But keep in mind: Since the Ryzen 9 3950X is not yet available, these values serve only for speculation: In later tests, these values must first be confirmed.
AMD Ryzen 9 3950X vs Intel i9 9900k vs Intel i9 9900KS

I9-9900KS – Counter against AMD?
Intel has named October as the date for its Intel Core i9-9900KS. The i900KS is said to require even more performance than the i9-9900K model. In return, the KS model will also need significantly more energy: Instead of 95 watts TDP, the new model requires 127 watts.
The i9-9900KS is a particularly fast version of the i9-9900K. It is currently considered the fastest gaming CPU on the market. The KS model has a higher power consumption but also offers significantly higher clock rates.
This is what makes the I9-9900KS: The i9-9900KS from Intel offers even more performance than the previous regular K model. It has a significantly higher base clock (+0.4 GHz) than the regular model. For owners of high-end hardware like a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, who do not yet own an i9-9900K, the purchase could be worthwhile.
For gaming enthusiasts looking for an upgrade
The i9-9900K as the fastest alternative: The i9-9900K from Intel is currently regarded as the fastest gaming processor. In a test by Hardwareluxx, the Intel i9-9900k offers significantly higher multi-thread performance than the i7-8700K and also leads against direct competitors, the Ryzen 7 2700X.
If you own, for example, a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, it might be worth buying if you do not want to wait for the KS model. Weaker graphics cards could become a bottleneck for the processor.
