Throughout the year, popular events take place in Overwatch. The next event will be the Halloween event. The start and end dates for it have now been accidentally released.
Kellog’s leaks data: Overwatch and the cereal company Kellog’s currently have a collaboration in the USA. There are FAQs that include ancillary data about the Halloween and Christmas events:
- Halloween Horror: Start 10.10.2018 – End 31.10.2018
- Winter Wonderland: Start 11.12.2019 – End 31.12.2018
Where did Kellogg’s get this data?
There are event loot boxes: For the current collaboration, buyers of Kellogg’s products in the USA can receive loot boxes in Overwatch. To do this, they must purchase certain products and photograph and upload the receipts.
As a reward, they can receive up to 30 loot boxes per person. If the opportunity is used during an event, players receive an event loot box instead of a regular one. However, this promotion is only available in the USA.
In another promotion together with the supermarket chain Target, customers who buy 3 boxes of Pop-Tarts can even receive a golden loot box. Golden loot boxes guarantee a legendary item.

Are the data safe? Since the collaboration between Kellogg’s and Overwatch is official and the event loot boxes are also officially offered, the data is likely correct.
They also align with the data for events from previous years. Blizzard is known for starting events at approximately the same time each year. However, it sometimes happens that events run longer than announced.
What can you obtain? In the event loot boxes, you can get new cosmetics corresponding to the respective event. Check out here
There are already hints regarding the skins for the Halloween event 2018. Some names and icons in an achievement on the PTR suggest which heroes will receive a Halloween skin in 2018.
