YouTuber Logan Paul made his WrestleMania debut on Sunday, April 3, 2022, wearing a Pokémon card worth 4.4 million euros as a necklace. The Pikachu Illustrator card of the 27-year-old holds the record for the most expensive Pokémon card sold in a private auction.
How did Logan Paul stand out? The controversial YouTuber Logan Paul has once again managed to polarize. Dressed in a yellow and black coat, with a Pokémon card hanging around his neck, the 27-year-old made his debut at WWE’s wrestling event “WrestleMania.”
But rather than his fight, it was the YouTuber’s accessory that drew attention: the Pokémon card worn as a necklace has a record value of 5.4 million euros. However, the auction price paid by Paul of over 4.4 million euros is a world record as well.
This is the world record: After Logan Paul and “The Miz” won the encounter with Rey and Dominik Mysterio, the controversial YouTuber received a certificate from Guinness in his locker room.
The certificate issued by “Guinness World Records” and presented to Logan Paul certifies the 27-year-old with the record for the most expensive Pokémon card sold in a private auction. According to Guinness, the auction price was around 4,477,146 euros.

The Rarest Pokémon Card in the World?
Why is the card so expensive? As if it wasn’t already enough to stand out by decorating a wrestling outfit with a Pokémon card, it also has to be the most expensive Pokémon card in the world. But what makes the card so special?
Logan Paul’s Pokémon card is a “Pikachu Illustrator.” This was allegedly issued only 39 times by CoroCoro Comic during the “1998 Illustration Contest” in Japan. According to Heritage Auctions, only 10 copies of this card have been graded as “in the best condition.”
If you are interested in which Pokémon cards are also really valuable, our colleagues from GamePro have presented 6 Pokémon trading cards that are now really valuable.
The card is additionally made more expensive because collectors believe that there are now only about 20 copies of the collectible item left. Logan Paul’s Pikachu Illustrator, meanwhile, has been graded a 10 (PSA 10) by the “Professional Sports Authenticator” and is listed there with the record value of 5.4 million euros.
The high quality rating in connection with the general scarcity of the card makes the YouTuber’s Pikachu Illustrator perhaps the rarest Pokémon card in the world.
Collecting Pokémon cards is no longer a hobby just for kids. The cards of the cuddly companions have become a source of investment in recent years. The value of a card depends on its condition and rarity.
