After the patch cycle was somewhat thrown off rhythm last week thanks to the Executor, things are back to normal this week. A new update will be available today. And it comes with a new item.
When is the content update for Fortnite version 5.30 coming? According to a tweet from Epic, the update will go live at 2 PM German time. You will most likely need to perform a download to update the application.
Will there be a server downtime? No, this week you will only need to download a patch. The gaming experience is not expected to be affected.
New Shockwave Grenade is coming – What will it have? According to an early in-game message, the Shockwave Grenade is expected to be a copy of the Impulse Grenade – but with one major difference:
For the Shockwave Grenade grants immunity to fall damage. With the Impulse Grenade, one could (if done poorly) send oneself to the afterlife. That is no longer possible with the Shockwave Grenade.
Will another grenade make way? In combination with the bounce pads, the Shockwave Grenade should allow for some spectacular gameplay styles again. Will the Impulse Grenade be removed from the game with the new grenade? This will be revealed in the patch notes, which you can read on Mein MMO as usual once they become available.
What else will the update bring for the Battle Royale mode? It is highly likely that players will find more hints after today’s update on how the Road Trip skin will change in the coming weeks.
Moreover, players especially on the Nintendo Switch have been complaining about performance drops since the last update. Whether Epic has a solution for this ready this week is still unknown.
