A world full of monsters
Where do the creatures come from? The world of Harth in the MMORPG AI:R was afflicted by a terrible catastrophe some time ago. One of the moons collided with the planet, causing large parts of the world to be torn from the planet and now float as islands in the air. This “Great Catastrophe” has changed the wildlife of Harth. Many creatures mutated.
What kind of beings will you encounter? There is a variety of creatures living in the world. Here is a small selection:
- Xumhorn – One of the creatures that now roams the floating islands is the Xumhorn. These rhinoceros-like beings developed a skin as hard as stone after the catastrophe. This allowed them to survive volcanic eruptions, meteors falling from the sky, and severe earthquakes. The Xumhorns feed on minerals, which is why they are found near resources, making their extraction dangerous.
- Dunclas – You also have to watch out for the Dunclas. These are blind, flying fish attracted by the smell of blood.
- Shadow of Death – The dragon-like Shadow of Death can also encounter you. It has a large mouth full of razor-sharp teeth, deadly claws, and robust, scaly skin, making it a very dangerous opponent – even in the air.
But there are also humans
Who else will you meet? In the game, you will encounter not only monsters but also NPCs, including Harras, who has had a hard time in the army of Nous due to his heritage as a Starborn. After leaving the military, he led expeditions, but lost his wife and daughter, which caused him to isolate himself more and more from the outside world. You will meet Harras in the game and learn more about him.
Many fans of PvP-heavy MMORPGs are currently waiting for the release of AI:R. However, it is still not certain when we can expect the start of the beta. But you can already register on the official website for the testing phase.
