Conan Exiles has had its release a few weeks ago. Now there is a new official statement from Funcom – with numerous promises about how Conan Exiles will progress.
Funcom promises new content and the first DLC: In the last statement from June 6, the developer of Conan Exiles, Funcom, spoke about the near future. Bug fixes are ongoing, but slowly the developers also want to bring new content to the players.
How Conan Exiles is doing right now, what’s coming your way
Conan Exiles has survived the first weeks after release well, and the game is still very popular. While the developers are still working on fixing bugs and delivering technical improvements, new content is also coming.
Conan Exiles is currently doing very well: Conan Exiles has had a success that the developer Funcom can be more than satisfied with. The game was in the top 10 of the Steam charts for a while and has sold over a million copies.
In the quarterly report, Funcom also talked about the future plans for Conan Exiles. Among other things, Funcom announced DLCs. Some of the announced innovations will be available to you soon.

DLC – Imperial East Pack for Conan Exiles
The first DLC will come in June: Funcom has already announced the first purely cosmetic DLC: the “Imperial East Pack”. The DLC brings armors and weapons styled after Khitai, a land in Hyboria. The DLC specifically includes:
- 3 armor sets (light, medium, and heavy)
- 11 weapons in iron and star metal variants
- 25 new placeable items in the style of Khitai
- 5 new decorative war paints
- A new set of Tier 3 building pieces in the style of Khitai.
All items are supposed to match their tier and not be better than other items made from the same material – buyers thus have no advantage. Funcom emphasizes that the money is intended to cover ongoing costs and that resources for the DLCs will not come from the development of gameplay elements and bug fixes. The DLC is set to be released later in June.
Pets are coming soon as a new feature – and a god
Tame your own “pets”: With an upcoming update, one of the features that had to be cut for the timely release will be implemented: companions, or pets.
Funcom is working to implement this feature as soon as possible. Currently, the technology for the feature is being optimized. Details about the pets will be available “very soon”.
Worship a new god: Along with the companions, a new deity will find its way into Conan Exiles. Jhebbal Sag, the Lord of Beasts, will soon be available as a potential patron for his followers – if you can find him.
The religion around Jhebbal Sag is based on the upcoming pets. His religious items and armors revolve around the theme of taming, and with him comes his altar and of course his avatar.
New dungeons – also for companions: A number of new dungeons are set to be implemented in Conan Exiles. Which ones exactly are not yet revealed – only that one of them is explicitly supposed to be related to the companion feature.
The old bow system is coming back: The community’s criticism of the ranged combat system has been significant since the change. Funcom has listened and will soon bring back the option to manually draw a bow and shoot an arrow, rather than letting it play out in an animation.
Bows will also receive special arrows with poison, explosions, healing, or light. This will also bring some bug fixes and general balancing to the combat system.
