Conan Exiles is being patched almost daily and the next update is supposed to be the largest to date. It will address many issues, including adjustments to creatures and the land ownership system.
Conan Exiles is in Early Access and far from finished. Therefore, NPCs move awkwardly through the vegetation. Rhinos suddenly appear and trample me. And nothing has been more frustrating than to starve in the wasteland with kilos of raw meat in my backpack because everywhere has already been claimed and I couldn’t set up a campfire to cook my steaks. As if surviving in the world of Conan wasn’t hard enough!
Conan Exiles: Biggest Update Yet
Now, things are supposed to change, as the developers at Funcom have planned a massive patch that is set to be released in the coming days. Many issues will be tackled brutally and mercilessly. Some of the most important changes include:
- Server performance will be improved
- NPCs will no longer move awkwardly when turning
- Buildings load much faster
- Placeable objects will be saved correctly
- Rocks will no longer fly through the air when harvested
- Small placeable objects no longer claim land
- NPC camps have their own land claim, so you can no longer build over them and hinder their respawning
- No more phantom duplicates at the Wheel of Pain
- Tier 2 altars will no longer vanish
- Arrows fly straight and no longer in random directions
- Rhinos no longer walk through players
- Palisades cause their correct damage and can be placed more easily
- You can no longer smash rocks with your bare hands. Only Conan can do that!
- Gong and horn are now more audible
- You can learn new emotes from story NPCs
- Many requirements for recipe skills have been simplified. Therefore, you will receive a free reallocation of your crafting skills.
- Bows shoot farther, crossbows faster
- Monsters and animals can now damage more building types. Your sandstone buildings are no longer safe!
- More crafting experience for complex items
- Black stones in the starting desert can now be mined
- More secondary resources like bark and branches when using higher quality tools
- You no longer lose your religion when drinking a potion for skill reset
- Caves in the starting area no longer cause corruption
- Player corpses can only be looted for religious purposes every 30 minutes
- No more armors from chests
- Emus give less XP
- The NPCs from the “Desert Dogs” now have their own outfits
- Diverse clipping adjustments for outfits
- Adjustments to some hairstyles and female head models
