The barbarian survival game Conan Exiles (PC, PS4, Xbox One) is coming later than announced. The date in Q1 2018 for the launch on PC, PS4, and Xbox One can certainly no longer be kept.
When Conan Exiles was released with great success in early 2017, the developers at Funcom boldly promised not to do it like the competitor Ark: Survival Evolved. The dino survival game had long been in Early Access and had received criticism as a result. Conan Exiles was supposed to be different from the start.
They only wanted to stay in Early Access for a year.

Conan Exiles has already been postponed several times. The start in Early Access was actually planned for 2016. They delayed it because they could invest more money into the project and wanted to improve quality. They had also delayed the launch of the Xbox version, but that is now running.
However, Funcom wants to wait for the full release of the PS4 version of Conan Exiles.

Conan Exiles is coming a few months later for PS4, PC, and Xbox One
Unfortunately, it seems that the timeline was ultimately too optimistic. Because in a tweet, the developers revealed that they need more time to properly optimize the game.

Therefore, the launch date for PC, Xbox One, and Playstation 4 has been pushed from the first to the second quarter of 2018. This way, they can ensure that the game is worth playing. For the company Funcom, which has been severely battered in the past, a good start for Conan Exiles depends on a lot.
Conan Exiles has enough publicity meanwhile, not least due to penis jokes at the expense of the new publisher Koch Media.
