In Conan Exiles, everything is allowed. Even raiding and destroying other people’s houses and bases. However, a YouTuber went too far and destroyed the beloved base of a rival as revenge.
In Conan Exiles, it’s not just about naked genitals, even though the swinging masculinity saved Funcom. Instead, you play as a wild barbarian who must survive in the harsh wasteland. If necessary, against other exile barbarians who can steal valuable resources from you and rob you.
Conan Exiles – Small Raids Among Friends
Raiding other players’ houses is a staple of the survival MMO on PvP servers. It takes on a special twist when it’s not just about loot, but also about viewers.
The YouTuber Faceless (200,000 subscribers) raided the successful colleague H2ODelirious (8.6 million subscribers) and robbed his base.
A video of the dastardly act, featuring the “Raid on H20Delirious”, brought Faceless far more views than he usually gets with his videos.
But the big YouTuber didn’t let that slide.
Faceless was particularly successful with a web series he produced together with the YouTube colleague Maxmoefoe. In this series, the two of them lovingly built a gigantic base on a blank, content-development-reserved private server. This fortress was their pride and the foundation of their successful web series.
The Barbarian’s Revenge!
Therefore, the horror and lament was great when Faceless and Maxmoefoe logged in one day and found their beloved base nearly completely erased from the earth. Only the wheel of pain and a few walls remained desolately in the wasteland. The rest had been neatly smashed to bits and ravaged.
“Who does something like this?” the two YouTubers wondered. Soon, the login data of the server revealed the culprit: It was H20Delirious!
As revenge for the raid on his base, H2ODelirious had sneaked onto the empty server while the owners were offline and begun his path of destruction until nothing was left of the formerly proud base.
H2ODelirious: “I did nothing wrong!”
Since the base was the centerpiece of Faceless’ and Maxmoefoe’s web series on YouTube, they had to abandon it, which they announced in a “Last Video”.
H2ODelirious felt the brunt of the anger from the fans of both, who flooded his next Conan video with over 43,000 dislikes and hate comments. Consequently, H2ODelirious disabled the comment function.
H20Delirious is not aware of any guilt. He and his “army” of fans argue that in a game like Conan Exiles, one can destroy bases because that’s part of the game. You have to get over it if it happens to you and not whine about it.
This statement further inflamed the anger of the opposing side, as they argue that a private and otherwise empty content creator server should be off-limits. Various other YouTubers are now also criticizing H20Delirious for the destruction of the base.
What do you think about the matter? Did H20Delirious act correctly since you can explicitly destroy other players’ bases on PvP servers in Conan Exiles? Or are such actions simply unacceptable, especially when they ruin the business basis for other YouTubers? Let us know in the comments.
