On May 8, the survival online RPG Conan Exiles will be released. In order to meet this deadline, the developers had to cut some features.
When the launch of a new game is imminent, developers often face the question: What can we accomplish by then, and do we perhaps need to cut certain features? This seems to have been the case for the team behind Conan Exiles. As it has now been revealed, some features of the game will only be added after the launch.
Among the game elements that had to be postponed until after the launch are:
- Mounts and pets
- The settlement system
- Witchcraft
- An improved travel interface
The developers explain that they will not hide features discussed during the Early Access phase behind paywalls. This means that the mentioned elements will be delivered with free updates.

The release version of Conan Exiles also offers new features
However, this does not mean that Conan Exiles will be released in the state it was during the Early Access phase. Several new features will already make their way into the game. These include:
- Swamp and volcano biomes
- The game world will be twice as large as before
- A new combat system that introduces many innovations and adjustments and also a new HUD
- The Purge – NPCs and monsters will attack your base even when you are not logged into the game. Therefore, pay attention to good defense!
- Farming
- Derketo as a new religion
- War paint for personalizing your hero
- Fast travel – You can quickly travel from a discovered obelisk in the game world to others
- Perk system – New perks give you more options to decide how you want to play your hero.
The release version of Conan Exiles will thus differ somewhat from the Early Access version.
The release version of Conan Exiles is slightly more expensive than the Early Access version was.
