This week was all about Daybreak and the associated games like LOTRO or EverQuest. In addition, there was exciting information about Throne and Liberty as well as EVE Online. We summarize all the important news.
The highlights of the week:
- Daybreak has announced its new MMORPG EverQuest 3. It is set to be released in 2028.
- The company also revealed the monthly player counts for their MMORPGs, including DC Universe, Dungeons & Dragons Online, and Lord of the Rings Online.
- Throne and Liberty shared new details about boss fights and PvE dungeons (via TL.online). Additionally, the beta launched in North America, though it is under NDA.
The controversy of the week: In WoW, a player was kicked from a raid just before the final boss because the raid leader’s friend still needed loot. The action did not go over well with you.
New game in the EVE universe, new information about New World
This is what happened in the big MMORPGs:
- In WoW, there is currently an exploit where bots earn 1.2 million gold per day. An analyst also explained: “WoW is significantly better – but damn boring.”
- In WoW Classic, a player lost their hardcore character in a perfect golf moment.
- ESO has brought the new patch 40 to the test servers. A Japanese localization for consoles was also announced, which is set to be implemented with the patch (via ESO).
- Lost Ark briefly became number 1 on Twitch with its new World First race, although the raid only exists in Korea.
- An NPC attempts to stealthily eliminate new players in Final Fantasy XIV.
- Black Desert now has permanently open season servers, allowing you to start on them at any time. A new video about the upcoming PvP changes was also presented (via YouTube).
This is what happened in the small MMORPGs:
- Vanguard is a new space shooter that is closely linked to EVE Online. In EVE itself, you will soon be able to play pirates, as revealed at the fan fest.

- In The Lord of the Rings Online, the new and unusual class Mariner has now been presented.
- Dungeons & Dragons Online is planning a major overhaul of weapons to remove dead zones (via MassivelyOP).

- Pax Dei showcases its brilliant housing system and city-building system in new screenshots. It was also emphasized that the first alpha tests will start “soon”. The fall of this year is being targeted.
- Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen has announced its changes to graphics. It will now feature a stronger “hand-painting” style (via YouTube).
