The company Victrix, which belongs to Performance Designed Products, has introduced a controller that is said to be the “fastest Xbox controller in the world”. This aims to compete with the best controllers for Xbox and PC.
Behind this is a special technology designed to make the controller faster. But what does that mean for me, and what do I get for 100 US dollars (around 85 euros)? MeinMMO introduces you to the Xbox controller.
Controller separates sound and inputs
This is why the controller is so fast: The manufacturer relies on its own design, which it calls “Dual-Core”. For the controller, there is a system responsible for processing sound and another for the input.
To improve latency, they have divided the processing into two systems. According to Marketing Chief Navin Kumar, the company has found that by separating the processing of audio and controller tasks, they can make the system faster. Additionally, the controller can be up to eight times faster with analog inputs than other controllers on the market.
Are there already initial speed tests? The tester from Screenrant was able to test the controller extensively (via screenrant.com). In his test, Alex Santa Maria explains that the Victrix Gambit is indeed a versatile Xbox controller.
The controller feels good in hand, and the speed difference compared to other controllers is definitely noticeable. Users who are simply looking for a better pad or paddles will also find what they need. Criticism is directed at the light weight of the controller, which makes the Victrix Gambit seem less valuable.
The controller offers many personalization options
What else does the controller offer? The package includes not only a transport case but also 14 interchangeable components for the controller. You can fully customize the controller to fit your own needs. You can reassign buttons, adjust dead zones, or set up custom audio profiles. With the Victrix Control Hub App, you can customize even more settings.
This might remind some of you of the SCUF Instinct or the Elite controller from Microsoft. Here too, you can swap out various parts.
What does the controller cost? The controller costs 99.99 US dollars, which is about 85 euros. The controller is therefore somewhat cheaper than controllers with similar features:
- The SCUF-Impact, which is a good alternative to the Pro controller, costs at least 169.99 euros
- The Microsoft Elite controller is also available for at least 160 euros
- The Razer Wolverine V2 Chroma costs 159.99 euros and is also above the Victrix controller.
