Community of EA FC 24 is annoyed by duplicates in Ultimate Team: "Ridiculously outdated system"

In EA FC 24 the problem with duplicates in Ultimate Team is becoming particularly evident and the community is discussing it heatedly.

In the recent FIFA titles, especially in FIFA 23, it has become clear that EA Sports is noticeably moving towards untradeable cards – that is, cards in Ultimate Team that cannot be offered or purchased on the transfer market.

Especially in newer packs that can be purchased in the store or packs from SBCs (Squad Building Challenges), one can find cards that one cannot easily get rid of. While these can be played well and used in one’s own club, if the cards are too weak or simply don’t fit into one’s team, one has a problem.

This is the problem with duplicates: The big problem with duplicates in EA FC 24 is one that has existed for many years. When you open a pack and find duplicates, you cannot open another pack until you have taken care of the duplicate cards.

And you can deal with duplicates in the following ways:

You put the duplicates into Squad Building Challenges to unlock new packs or players.
You discard the duplicate cards for 0 coins.

However, there are currently issues with both options, as EA FC 24 simply does not offer enough suitable SBCs into which the duplicates could be placed. Thus, the only option left is mostly to discard, which is also not ideal since you just give away the card without getting anything in return.

This is particularly frustrating when discarding cards with high ratings, which would have been worth some coins in the tradable version.
