In Monster Hunter Wilds, it is possible to set up useful camps at various locations. However, these camps can also be destroyed. One player was quite annoyed by this, and his creative solution is celebrated by the community.
Why is the player annoyed? In the new Monster Hunter, it is for the first time possible to set up so-called camps at designated locations on the map. You can then use these as fast travel points and equipment storage to reestablish yourself in between.
Depending on the location of the camp, there are various danger levels ranging from “safe” to “dangerous.” This level indicates how likely it is for your established camp to be discovered and destroyed by monsters.
A player recently shared on Reddit that he was tired of monsters constantly laying waste to his camp. In response, he set a trap for them.
What trap does the player set for the monsters? After his camp had been destroyed several times by wandering monsters, user animblo apparently decided to take revenge. Having already weakened the monsters, he followed one back to its camp.
In his video, you can see the already injured Quematrice looking around before rushing toward the camp to destroy it again. However, it underestimated the barrel bombs that the user had previously set up.
As it had to happen, the monster blindly runs into the trap. To make matters worse, the explosion also knocks it down, making the revenge truly perfect.
If you look closely, you’ll notice that beside the fallen Quematrice, there is already another slain monster lying there, which probably met its end in a similar way.
“This is the best hunter I’ve ever seen”
How does the community react to this? In the comments, there are several players who can empathize with the feeling. They celebrate his idea and even create memes about it:

Many other fans respond with fitting and agreeing gifs. Whether this tactic will stand the test of time remains to be seen. However, it is clear that animblo’s story has brightened the day for some hunters and sown ideas.
But this is by far not the only entertaining situation that the community has created with barrel bombs. There are many other creative ways to use them against monsters and often also against oneself and other hunters.
