Kaya Yanar has been playing The Elder Scrolls Online since 2014. In an interview with Zenimax, he talks about his love for the Elder Scrolls series and what he does in ESO.
This is how he got into the game: The comedian Kaya Yanar started with ESO in 2014. With one of his first online acquaintances, he founded a guild. What he didn’t know at the time was that the co-founder of the guild was from France. Soon, the guild was largely made up of French members.
However, this was not a problem for Kaya Yanar. Together with the guild, he experienced many adventures in Tamriel during that time.
This character is currently his favorite to play: He currently enjoys playing as a Nightblade the most. The class has a stealth ability that allows him to sneak past enemies easily. This suits him well since he loves to explore the landscapes of ESO and is surprised by what awaits him next.
The Elder Scrolls world has captivated him
This is why Kaya Yanar is fascinated by ESO: Kaya Yanar is very interested in other worlds. Even as a child, he read many fantasy books. He is particularly captivated by the world, characters, and lore of The Elder Scrolls.
The Elder Scrolls Online offers a strong immersion through its beautiful music and wonderful artwork. That is why he sometimes just logs in to enjoy the atmospheric music of The Elder Scrolls Online.

- Kaya Yanar has been playing games from the Elder Scrolls series since 1994. That was when he played the first Elder Scrolls game.
- In ESO, he would be most afraid of 40 crabs. After all, 3 crabs once defeated him in ESO when he was still level 1.
- He hasn’t played many areas yet because there is just so much to do in ESO.
- His favorite areas in ESO are Glenumbra, Summerset and Vvardenfell. In particular, the latter seems as if the designers were on a trip.
This is what a gaming session looks like for Kaya Yanar
When Kaya Yanar has time to experience adventures in The Elder Scrolls Online, his sessions usually follow a similar pattern.
This is what he does when he logs in:
- First, he plays as a female mage. She is only responsible for crafting. She is stationed in Vivec and takes care of crafting. He also makes sure to get an upgrade for the mage from the stable master each time he logs in. This can only be done once per day.
- Then, he logs in gradually with his three other characters and runs to the stable masters with them as well.
- Once that is done, he goes questing. Currently, he focuses on dungeons, as he is a member of a guild that focuses on that. As soon as he logs in, a member of the guild runs his characters through the dungeons for 2-3 hours. Only then does he have the opportunity to pursue other activities.
