This introduced various changes to the game – among them, almost quietly, the fully automatic shotgun JAK-12 from Modern Warfare 2, which was leaked some time ago.
And the new gun is currently quite powerful and spreads fear and terror – not only in Warzone but also in traditional multiplayer. There are already talks of it being overpowered or a new meta, and judging by the initial reactions, it is questionable whether the weapon will remain this way for long.

How do you even get the JAK-12? It’s quite simple and self-explanatory. If you want to unlock the new JAK-12, you need to get 3 hip-fire kills with shotguns in 7 different matches. That’s all you need to do.
3 strong setups for the new shotgun JAK-12 – Try them out
Who are these setups suitable for? Basically, there is something for almost every taste in Warzone. Do you want a strong shotgun as a secondary weapon? Do you want to take down players even at extreme distances? Or deal massive damage? Then check out the 3 setups. They can also be quite worthwhile, even if you are playing in regular multiplayer of Modern Warfare.
JAK-12 – Best Allround Setup
You will need the following attachments:
- Muzzle: Choke
- Barrel: ZLR J-2800 Flood
- Laser: 5mW Laser
- Ammunition: 20 Round Drum Magazine
- Underbarrel: Merc Foregrip
What does this combination do? Sure, one could put in the 32 round magazine or Frags/Dragon’s Breath, but with this all-round build, you would lose too much mobility. After all, you want to get close to your enemies as quickly as possible with a shotgun, so the 20 round mag is the best compromise here.
The barrel helps with range without sacrificing too much movement speed, the muzzle reduces spread, and the laser gives a boost to your readiness to fire while moving and your accuracy when shooting from the hip. The underbar grip also helps with recoil control, which makes sense with a fully automatic pump with 20 rounds.
JAK-12 – Setup for Extreme Range
You will need the following attachments:
- Muzzle: FORGE TAC Marauder
- Barrel: ZLR J-2800 Torrent (strangely ZLR J-3600 Torrent in English)
- Laser: 5mW Laser
- Ammunition: 8 Round Slug Magazine
- Grip: Grooved Grip Tape
What does this combination do? This build focuses on the almost absurd range that can be achieved with this new shotgun through the right attachments. That’s why it uses Slug Rounds, or shotgun shells. The barrel also increases damage range.
The laser and grip help you aim faster, and the muzzle suppresses your shots, allowing you to fire a few more times before the enemy even realizes where you are shooting from. This also further increases damage range.
JAK-12 – Setup for Massive Damage
You will need the following attachments:
- Muzzle: Choke
- Barrel: ZLR J-2800 Torrent
- Laser: 5mW Laser
- Ammunition: 8 Round FRAG-12 Magazine
- Grip: Grooved Grip Tape
What does this combination do? This build relies on the Frag ammunition, which explodes upon damage and thus causes high damage. This is effective not only against enemy soldiers but also quite useful against vehicles. The barrel again increases damage range, while the rest of the attachments primarily assist with aiming speed.
