A new patch in CoD: Warzone often also means that something new is a bit OP. This is also true in Season 4. Because if you equip the grip of your weapon with some tape, you run faster than the law allows. At least in most German city centers.
The fastest loadout you could put together in CoD Warzone was back in October 2021. Then you were allowed to run faster than the train with an OTs 9.
With the latest patch for Season 4, it is even faster. Together with well-executed slide-cancels, you can reach an impressive speed of 36 kilometers per hour – and that on foot. This would be enough to trigger a speed camera in a German city.

Which attachment is it? Warzone experts like JGOD and TrueGameData have discovered that an attachment in CoD Warzone is currently much better than the developers probably intended: the Taped Grip.
This attachment alone allows you to easily surpass the previous “movement loadouts” with all SMGs from CoD Vanguard. JGOD shows in his English video what this looks like:
As JGOD has also calculated in his video, this allows you to achieve a maximum of 36 km/h. Normally, your top speed on foot is about 23.5 km/h, so this is an improvement of over 53%.
How do I run so fast? You really don’t have to pay attention to anything. As long as you use a Vanguard SMG with the taped grip, this impressive top speed is achievable. Even lootable weapons that use this attachment are just as fast. That’s why TrueGameData calls this attachment the “Most OP Attachment Ever!” (via YouTube)

How to create the strong sprint setup: In the video linked above, JGOD also recommends up to two additional attachments. You can use these in addition to the strong taped grip:
- Underbarrel: Mark VI Skeleton
- Perk: Momentum
- Extra: Quick
With these attachments, you’ll get the absolute maximum out. With Momentum, you will move faster for a short time after a kill, and with Quick, your sprint speed generally increases. But for SMGs, you should always use Mark VI Skeleton and Taped Grip. This way, you’ll become the absolute top sprinter on maps like Fortune’s Keep.
Depending on how well you can handle the recoil of your weapon, you can also choose additional attachments for your preferred weapon that increase your speed. However, JGOD also says that you shouldn’t always take these. If you have a weapon with high recoil, you should rather choose attachments that reduce it.
