In Call of Duty: Warzone there will soon be some adjustments to weapons and a skin that is considered Pay2Win. We show you what the developers have revealed about it.
This was announced: On Twitter, the developers from Raven Software gave a small preview of upcoming updates (via Twitter). They mentioned 4 things that will soon be changed:
- An adjustment to the Roze skin
- A balance update for weapons such as Tac Rifle Charlie, M16, FFAR 1, and the new pistol Sykov
- A fix for weapon perks from Modern Warfare
- A change in how to access the RC-XD
Especially interesting are the first two points. The Roze skin has been criticized for a long time, and some weapons are simply considered too strong in Warzone.
Skin provides an unfair advantage – now to be changed
What is the problem with the Roze skin? Since the beginning of the year, there has been stress with this skin. It was unlockable through the paid part of the Battle Pass and has caused dissatisfaction since then. The skin is completely black – even the character’s face becomes dark.
This allows the player to hide in corners easily and is often overlooked by enemies. The dilemma with the skin even reached the point where entire lobbies were filled with the Roze skin and numerous players hid in dark corners.
Now the skin is to be adjusted. How exactly this will look is still unclear. However, it is quite conceivable that the Roze skin can be recognized better in the future.
This could happen with the weapons: Especially the new pistol Sykov is currently causing problems in Warzone. It is considered overly strong and will likely receive a nerf so that other weapons can compete more.
Right after the release of the weapons, there were numerous clips showing the exaggerated strength of the Sykov. The developers will now respond.
For the other listed weapons, it remains to be seen whether they will be weakened or strengthened. The M16 is, for example, a popular weapon that is not considered overly strong. The same goes for the FFAR 1.
When will these adjustments come? Raven Software writes “coming soon”. However, there is still no exact date. The release of Season 3 would be a good time when all these adjustments could be implemented. On April 21, Warzone announced an event with the statement “The end is near”. Shortly thereafter, Season 2 will end, and Season 3 will likely start.
So we could expect these adjustments as early as next week. However, it remains questionable whether all these points will be implemented all at once.
