With Season 1 of CoD: Warzone Pacific and CoD: Vanguard, 5 new weapons are also coming that you can use in both games. 4 of them can be unlocked right now, the last weapon will be available later in the season. MeinMMO tells you what you need to do.
All new contents of the Season 1 for CoD Vanguard and Warzone Pacific are known from the roadmap. The new contents also include 5 weapons that you can use in both games. These are:
- Cooper Carbine (Assault Rifle)
- Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle (Sniper Rifle)
- Sawtooth (Melee Weapon)
- Katana (Melee Weapon)
- Welgun (Submachine Gun)
How do I unlock the new weapons? 3 of the 5 new weapons will be unlocked via the Battle Pass. You don’t even have to buy the Season 1 Battle Pass for that: all Battle Pass weapons are free. You just need to level up the Battle Pass enough to unlock the weapons.
The Katana will be unlocked through a challenge. At a yet unknown later point in Season 1, the Welgun submachine gun will also be available.
Can I miss the weapons? Season 1 lasts 8 weeks. If you can’t level up the Battle Pass sufficiently during that time, there will be a special challenge for unlocking each weapon after the season.

Unlocking the Cooper Carbine (Assault Rifle)
In-Game Description: “This AR is easy to control at short distances and has a high rate of fire.”
How do I unlock the weapon? Reach level 15 in the Season 1 Battle Pass (Free. No Premium Battle Pass needed)
Unlocking the Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle (Sniper Rifle)
In-Game Description: “Heavy, semi-automatic anti-tank rifle with devastating performance against infantry and vehicles.”
How do I unlock the weapon? Reach level 31 in the Season 1 Battle Pass (Free. No Premium Battle Pass needed)
Unlocking the Sawtooth (Melee Weapon)
In-Game Description: “A club made from the fangs of the ocean’s most dangerous predator.”
How do I unlock the weapon? Reach level 37 in the Season 1 Battle Pass (Free. No Premium Battle Pass needed)
Unlocking the Katana (Melee Weapon)
In-Game Description: “Single-edged Japanese longsword. Deadly in close combat.”
How do I unlock the weapon? Challenge: Eliminate 5 enemies with a melee weapon in a match 15 times.
Unlocking the Welgun (Submachine Gun)
Description: “Comparable to the Sten. With its standard ammunition, the Welgun is extremely compact and has relatively good stability thanks to its built-in grips.” (via Call of Duty)
How do I unlock the weapon? Currently, you cannot unlock the Welgun. This weapon will only be available later in Season 1. You will be able to unlock it through a challenge.
