Call of Duty would like to thank you for your patience after Season 2 was postponed by a few weeks. In Warzone and Vanguard, there will be a double XP weekend, a big cosmetic bundle, and tier skips for the battle pass.
This is the situation:
- On February 14, Season 2 went live – over 2 weeks after the initially planned start
- To thank you for your patience, CoD is starting a double XP weekend on the evening of February 18
- If you log in during the XP event, you also get a big cosmetic bundle for free and 10 tier skips for the battle pass
Be sure to log in this weekend!
This weekend, there are great bonuses in Call of Duty for Warzone and Vanguard:
- Double XP event for everything – account, weapons, battle pass, clan, and operator
- Cosmetic bundle with 9 items for free
- 10 tier skips for the battle pass
Make sure to check the game during the XP event, even if it’s just for a moment. The gifts are only available while the event runs.
How long does the event last? It starts on the evening of February 18 and will be online until Tuesday (February 22).
- Double XP start: 02/18/22 – 7:00 PM
- Double XP end: 02/22/22 – 7:00 PM
How do I get the bundle? You need to log in during the time the event is running. Then select the menu item “Shop” and look for the free bundle.
In total, you get 9 items – including an operator skin and 2 weapon skins.
However, keep in mind that you can only use the operator skin in Warzone if you also own Vanguard. The other items do not have this restriction.
How do I get the tier skips? The same rule applies: log in during the event period.
Then go to your battle pass, and where it usually says “Buy tiers”, you can redeem the tokens.
If you want to save the tier skips for the next battle pass, that’s also possible: the tier skips do not expire when the next pass is due.
In total, you will receive even 11 tiers for free – the free cosmetic bundle also includes another tier. Overall, CoD estimates the value of the gifts to be around €20.
This might come in handy for some players – for some, the battle pass is frustrating and progressing slowly.
Call of Duty has postponed only a few seasons since the launch of its live season system and wants to make peace with this gesture.
Vanguard and Warzone have been suffering from a plethora of bugs for some time now, many of which have been fixed with the start of Season 2.
What do you think of this gesture? Will you check it out this weekend and grab some bonus XP? Feel free to share your thoughts with us in the comments.
