Twitch streamer Michael “Shroud” Grzsesiek encountered a nasty cheater in Call of Duty: Warzone. It even got to the point where he quit the game out of frustration.
Here was the situation: After his return to Twitch, Shroud was playing some rounds of Warzone. In one match, he was suddenly taken out by an opponent out of nowhere.
At first, he was impressed by the opponent, as they seemed to be really good. But then he quickly realized: They’re not actually that good, it’s just a cheater.
Shroud is initially impressed, but then annoyed
This is the clip: We are embedding the clip here that shows the excerpt from Shroud’s stream:
At first, the streamer runs openly across the map and is taken out within moments. The opponent shoots from a house and can hardly see Shroud.
The streamer is impressed, as the kill requires a lot of skill. He then asks: “That guy is like a god. Can I check him out? I want to see the guy, he is incredible.”
After two more kills from his opponent, Shroud then realizes that his opponent is not that strong after all. He is simply using cheats, which makes his actions less impressive.
Shroud then comments: “Oh, forget it. He’s a damn cheater! I’m done.” After that, Shroud shuts off Warzone and looks irritated into the camera.
What’s the situation with cheaters in the Warzone? In the free battle royale, cheaters are a recurring problem. There have been regular ban waves against cheaters, and there was even a big security update that made many cheaters whine.
However, the problem is not solved yet. In Season 5, there are still cheaters on the loose. Even large content creators are publicly complaining about it. Despite many efforts, it seems Infinity Ward cannot get the problem under control.
