In Call of Duty: Cold War and CoD Warzone Season 4 brings numerous opportunities to customize your soldier according to your wishes. We clarify what highlights are hidden in the new Battle Pass of Season 4 and what you can get completely for free.
What’s going on in CoD? On July 17th, the new Season 4 kicked off in Warzone and Cold War. Update 1.38 not only brought many changes to the shooters but also a brand new Battle Pass. MeinMMO shows you what eye-catchers await you and whether the cosmetics and new weapons are worth it for you.
This is what to expect in the new Battle Pass:
- As with every season, there is a fresh Battle Pass. Here, you can find 100 tiers that bring you cosmetics, weapons, blueprints, and also boosters.
- You automatically level up through EP, that is experience points. You can earn EP by playing and completing challenges.
- The good news is: Even if you don’t buy the pass, you can still level it up and unlock some items. If you choose to buy the pass later, you’ll keep the levels you achieved.
How much does the Battle Pass cost? In-game, you can get the pass for 1,000 CoD points (approximately 10 Euros). If you earned CoD points from the seasons, you can use them for payment. Alternatively, you can also purchase the “Battle Pass + 20 Tiers” bundle for 2,400 CoD points. The pass contains a total of 1,300 CoD points – those who are diligent will recoup the costs.
What’s included in the Season 4 Battle Pass
You get the following right at the start: Those who purchase the Battle Pass will receive some nice cosmetics right from the start. These include:
- Legendary Operator Skin “Wartime Camouflage” for Jackal
- Epic Operator Skin “Assassin” for Portonowa
- 10% more Battle Pass EP for the entire Season 4
- Epic Watch “Emerald Troop”
Call of Duty showcases some of the highlights in the trailer for the Battle Pass:
New Weapons: Season 4 introduces several new weapons to the game. Through the Battle Pass, every player can unlock 2 of them – completely free just by leveling up:
- MG 82 – Machine Gun (at Level 15): This new MG has the highest fire rate in its class while maintaining moderate damage and recoil as well as increased ammo capacity.
- C58 – Assault Rifle (at Level 31): This is a new assault rifle with a low fire rate and relatively small magazines, but it has high damage at close range and high bullet velocity.

These are the highlights: Among the absolute eye-catchers of the Battle Pass are the extravagant weapon skins, which conveniently come in blueprint form, allowing you to unlock the weapon and a few attachments as well. Of course, the operators in their new look are a highlight.

Is the Battle Pass worth it for me? If you spend a lot of time in Warzone or the multiplayer modes of Cold War and Modern Warfare, you can’t go wrong with the pass (you can’t use the contents in Modern Warfare). It is noticeable that the skins this time come in bright colors – you likely won’t get any tactical advantages from the Battle Pass.
If you are diligent, you will completely recoup the cost of the pass and can buy a new Battle Pass directly next season – you even receive 300 extra points for bad times. But even with the free version, you get some nice cosmetics without costs, and the new weapons are included anyway.
