Activision, the publisher of Call of Duty: Warzone, has openly spoken out against cheaters in a post. It was also explained what measures they are taking and that many cheaters have already been banned.
What is the problem? Call of Duty: Warzone is a competitive game and only works when all players have the same chances. However, it is currently struggling with some cheaters who use a “God Mode” that makes players invincible.
Therefore, Activision has spoken in a post that since the release of the game on March 10, more than 50,000 cheaters have been permanently banned.
However, they are still working on finding the bad apples and removing them. A reporting system directly in the game is also intended to help with this.

What is this reporting system? Currently, Warzone does not have an in-game function to report cheaters encountered in a match. Many fans are vehemently demanding such a system.
The latest statement from the developers gives players hope that such a system will be implemented quickly. There could also be interface adjustments to allow reporting directly.
But the entire process surrounding the bans is also interesting.
Measures Taken Against Cheaters
How do bans work? Activision uses a variety of measures to take cheaters out of circulation:
- The security teams monitor the game and the data 24/7 to quickly detect violations.
- Various hacks and cheats are monitored, including aimbots, wallhacks, and many more.
- The system is being improved so that cheaters can be reported more easily in the future.
- All in-game reports are to be analyzed and filtered immediately. After that, a ban should be put in place as soon as possible if it is justified.
What penalties are there for violations? The penalties vary based on the rule violation. However, a zero-tolerance policy is to apply for hackers. Accordingly, players can expect a permanent ban here.
