Recently, the Battle Royale Call of Duty: Warzone received a new update, only for everything to be rolled back to the previous state just a few hours later. What is going on?
Update July 3: Now the update is back and finally live, with another change: CoD Warzone: New update is now here – This time for real and with an additional buff
What’s the deal with the retracted update? On the evening of June 30, the developers at Raven Software released a new update for Call of Duty: Warzone. The patch mainly focused on balancing some weapons in Season 4, nerfing, among others, the current most popular weapon FARA 83. Several attachments were also slightly adjusted.
But that didn’t last long. Only a few hours later, the studio took to Twitter and announced: They are rolling back the update!
No solid reason was given. It was merely stated “due to ongoing issues”.
New update for CoD Warzone delayed
When will the update return? The new update is therefore coming a bit later (back). When exactly – that has not been disclosed by Raven Software either, but a fix is already in progress. As soon as it’s ready and the update goes online again, they will reach out to the players. Currently (July 1, 08:45 AM German time) it is still not the case.
What does this mean for players? Everything is currently back to the state before the evening of June 30, meaning:
- The nerfs to the FARA 83, the nail gun, and the C58 assault rifle are not yet active
- The reduced recoil control on several attachments is also still pending
Here is a detailed overview of the changes that have now been retracted for the time being:
