The free Battle Royale Call of Duty: Warzone has its next uproar. A skin from the Battle Pass makes players invisible.

The broken cosmetic is the “Awakened” skin of Francis, which you receive at level 100 of the Battle Pass of Season 1.

- Since the skin is in the Battle Pass, there are suspicions of pay-to-win

The player in the video is lucky – the skin is visible in this case due to distortions in the image, and the mask of the skin is also recognizable. Thus, the “invisible skin” can still be dealt with. However, there are also reports that the skin can completely disappear.
The glitch is very inconsistent. Sometimes the mask is visible, sometimes not. For some, invisibility starts at a distance of about 30 meters, while others experience it at different distances.
As seen in the video, you can make the skin visible again by zooming in. This probably only applies if the zoom strength of the scope is high enough. Everything is very curious.
Will it stay that way? Although there are players who suspect a pay-to-win aspect behind the broken skin, it is certainly just a glitch.
Although there is currently no entry in the developers’ Trello board for Warzone regarding this, the issue is likely to disappear soon (via trello.com). In this board, the developers collect bugs they are working on.
The first reports of the invisible annoyance surfaced around the Christmas holidays in 2021. However, the developers were on vacation over the holidays, and presumably, the glitch is only still in the game because of that.

Just last year, the developers’ break over Christmas and New Year caused an uproar in Warzone. Around the Christmas holidays, players discovered the enormously overpowered DMR 14.
The single-shot weapon took over the weapon meta in a few days and is still regarded today as a negative example when it comes to an imbalance in the meta in Warzone.
