Call of Duty: Warzone often brings some secret changes with larger updates that are not listed in the patch notes. This time, there’s a powerful killstreak included that has already been nerfed.
What’s going on in CoD? On Tuesday, September 29th, Season 6 was released for Call of Duty. It brought not only new content for Modern Warfare but also some fresh mechanics for the Battle Royale Warzone. Included are:
- A subway system for fast travel
- A new mode that resembles a demolition derby
- 2 new base weapons to unlock
Additionally, players have now found a new killstreak called “Foresight” in English. This thing is absolutely “overpowered” (OP) because as soon as you use it, you get to see all the gas circles of the match. You know exactly where you can hide for the end game and you don’t need to complete a handful of recon contracts for it:
What does the killstreak do exactly? It seems that it actually shows you all the gas circles of the match. Not just the circles until the last area starts moving. You can even see the super small circles, when the circle is slowly closing completely. That’s really strong, and if you find one of these streaks, don’t hesitate to use it right away. Is this confirmed and intended? The developers have already reacted to the discovery, showing that the item is indeed intended. In fact, it was nerfed in a small fix that the Infinity Ward developers deployed early this morning:
The last point on their list states: “Foresight killstreak drop rate reduced.” The creators of CoD were probably getting it a bit too often from loot boxes.
Where can I get the OP item? According to current reports, you have a chance to find the killstreak in the bunkers of Verdansk. Here you usually find a lot of legendary crates and strong ground loot. Since there are many bunkers in Warzone and you can easily open a few of them every round, you should consider checking by one more often in the near future:
But keep in mind: The item is designed to be a rare drop. So you won’t find one every match, and it’s unclear what the actual chance of getting the item is.
Are there other items that are similarly strong? Nothing really compares to this new killstreak powerhouse, but the secret items in the stadium can hold their own. In the locked rooms that can only be opened with the blue key cards, you also have a chance to find some amazing items:
- Improved drone – Reveals all enemies on the map for 30 seconds with direction of movement
- Durable gas mask – Protects you for 24 seconds from the gas, instead of just 12 seconds
- Specialist perk – With this, you get all perks in your loadout, otherwise you can only select 3
This gives you a total of 4 items in Warzone that provide an outstanding advantage. The balancing of these gadgets is managed solely by the Warzone developers through their frequency. So don’t be disappointed if you don’t find one, but rather be happy if no one else is using it, and rely on the best weapons of Warzone.
