The new Season 3 / 2022 of Call of Duty: Warzone is live. Here you can find a brief overview of the new content.
The new Season 3 is live and brings many innovations. We have summarized the highlights of the patch notes for you here.
You need to be patient with the update: Patch 1.57 comes with about 40 GB on all platforms.
However, the details of the content and the season update are always released just before the launch. If there are new updates, we will adjust the article accordingly.

Warzone: Season 3 – Monster Attack on Caldera
What is the highlight of the season? On May 11, the “Operation: Monarch” starts. The limited-time event introduces a special game mode to Warzone, featuring the movie monsters Godzilla and King Kong walking on Caldera.

What happens at the season start? Map changes in the game focus entirely on Caldera. Additionally, the developers have announced balance adjustments:
- Map changes Caldera
- New location “Dig Site” on Caldera
- Changes at Peak, Runway, Lagoon
- New Gulag for Caldera
- Gulag “Hold” on a ship

2 more interesting innovations:
- Contract “Sabotage”
- You are to destroy a specific vehicle on the map and will receive an armored truck in return
- Lootable perks
- You can now find a selection of non-meta perks in crates. Only one lootable perk is active at a time, which works in conjunction with your loadout perks
Besides that, the developers have confirmed that some changes to the weapon meta are coming:
- Sniper meta is changing
- Nerf for the strong LMG Bren in Season 3
- Many other weapons adjusted
Additionally, improvements to audio and new balancing for aim assist for controllers are on the way. At least the audio adjustments are expected to come in Season 3.

Which weapons come with the Battle Pass? Right at the start of the season, you will find 2 weapons to unlock in the Battle Pass:
- M1916 – DMR with 2-shot kills in multiplayer
- Similar weapons are considered weak in Warzone
- Nikita AVT – Assault rifle with the highest fire rate in its class in Vanguard
- Sounds like a sniper support with exciting attachments
- Here’s how to get them and what they can do
What happens later in the season? Throughout the season, 2 more weapons will be added to the game: the melee weapon “Sledgehammer” and the submachine gun “H4 Bixen”.
The Caldera map is also expected to change further. The underground will become a combat zone and underground areas will open up for players. A teaser says, “The surface is no longer safe”.
How these further changes will look is still not known.
Season 3 changes the Caldera map of Warzone and brings a major event with even bigger monsters.
