CoD Warzone: Roadmap Season 3 – All Contents
What does Season 3 bring to Warzone? The new season is called “Classified Arms” and is fully focused on the giant monsters Godzilla and King Kong. The event “Operation Monarch” starts on May 11.
But already at the start of the season on April 27, map changes will go live, there will be new weapons and a fresh gulag. We summarize the contents briefly for you. For a deeper insight into the new season, visit our big special on Season 3.
- Map changes
With the new season, Caldera receives an entirely new location: Dig Site. In the west of the island between Ruins and Mine, giant bones rise from the earth. It’s a kind of excavation site for the skeletons of the giant monsters that will soon haunt the island.
In addition, 3 other locations will receive extensive revisions. The volcano peak will be remodeled, buildings rearranged, and the color scheme changed.
The location Runway in the northeast will also receive new and thus more buildings. Overall, the area after the reconstruction of this airfield will be clearer, as much of the jungle in the area disappears.
Furthermore, there will be adjustments to the Lagoon location in the west. New ships have docked here that you can explore.
Here you can find images of the revised locations. There is currently no image for Lagoon:
- Mid-Season: Underground
By mid-season, more secrets around the underground of Caldera will be revealed. There is not much information about it yet, but there should be an entrance at the Peak location:

- New Gulag
The new gulag Hold is a symmetrical battlefield in the belly of a ship, with a large area in the center and protected corridors on the sides.
- 2 new weapons at launch
Right at the start of Season 3, you can unlock 2 new weapons through the Battle Pass.
On one hand, the DMR M1916 comes – a semi-automatic rifle with 2-shot kills in multiplayer. Such weapons have been only rarely strong in Warzone so far – aside from the nasty peak of the DMR 14.
The second weapon is even more interesting as it features the assault rifle Nikita AVT. The weapon is defined by the highest fire rate of the Vanguard assault rifles and comes with noticeable recoil.
The Nikita seems like a good sniper support with elaborate attachments that should also allow for other use cases.

- 2 weapons during the season
Later in Season 3, 2 more weapons will be added: the melee weapon Sledgehammer and the submachine gun H4 Bixen. However, there is not much information available about these two new weapons yet.

- Operation Monarch from May 11
The highlight of the Warzone season is the crossover event with Godzilla and King Kong. The developers are not going into detail yet – but it is an event mode that is in the game for a limited time.
Operators have access to a large arsenal to fight against the monsters. So far, it seems that the two will actually cause chaos in Caldera and you are called upon to drive away the giant creatures.
If you want to take another look at the content along with the developers’ descriptions, you can find the English info here (via callofduty.com).
Season 3 focuses on the battle against the nasty movie monsters rampaging over Caldera. As soon as we have more information about the event, you will find it in our article about the Monarch event.
But for now, it remains exciting what lies behind the attack of Godzilla and Kong. Whether the two will actually run across the island and launch their powerful attacks against you or whether a scripted adventure is lurking behind it.
