The M13 has a good chance of becoming a Grau replacement for many players in their loadout in Call of Duty: Warzone. One of the best controller players on Twitch has now shown his setup. He loves the assault rifle with these attachments.
Who is showing his setup? Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff is regarded as one of the best controller players on Twitch and became a well-known streamer and pro player through the Battle Royale Fortnite. Currently playing for the FaZe Clan, an e-sports organization from the USA, the passionate gamer also demonstrates his skill in Call of Duty: Warzone.
Since the Grau nerf of the major “Season 4 Reloaded” update, Nick has been playing the M13. After some strong rounds, he can hardly stop praising the weapon. In one of his English YouTube videos, he shows his love for the stable assault rifle. For mobile users: The corresponding scene starts at 4:07 minutes:
“I love this M13. I love it, I love it, I love it.” Even one of his colleagues seems convinced by the weapon. While they maraud through Verdansk, “Nickmercs” wants to sing the weapon’s praises, but one of his teammates interrupts: “No, don’t tell everyone!”.
Pro shows M13 setup and nearly hits every shot with it
What does his attachment combo look like? This is his preferred setup:
- Muzzle: Suppressor (Monolithic)
- Barrel: Tempus Marksman
- Sight: According to your preferences
- Underbarrel: Command Grip
- Ammunition: 60-round magazine
With the long barrel and the suppressor, he increases the weapon’s damage range by nearly 50%. The already low recoil is hardly noticeable with the Command Grip, and together with the sight, you can go for headshots at short distances. A 50 or 60-round magazine is a must in Warzone to keep multiple enemies under pressure without having to reload immediately.
M13 is extremely stable and strong in Warzone, but has slight quirks
What makes the setup so strong? In this form, the weapon shows no signs of leaving the aim point. You can hold steady and nearly every shot will hit. This is exactly what made the Grau 5.56 so strong for many in Warzone. While the Grau also has other advantages, such as a strong “Iron Sight”, the high aiming accuracy was the biggest plus point of the rifle.
What is the weapon’s weakness? One disadvantage of the M13 is its high ammo consumption. The high rate of fire drains bullets from the magazine in Battle Royale faster than anything, and the slower-firing Grau is significantly more economical in this regard.
So the M13 shines with its unmatched aiming accuracy, but it also comes with this disadvantage that can become annoying in game phases with little ammunition. If you are willing to overlook this, you’ll get an extremely stable automatic rifle that almost compensates for its recoil on its own.

What other options are there besides the Grau? The nerf is still fresh, and it is not yet certain which weapons will rise to the top of the Warzone meta instead. If assault rifles remain popular, there are some options:
- Continue playing the Grau
- The M13 suggested here
- The starter rifle Kilo 141
- The buffed and already strong FAL
- The Season 4 AR CR-56-AMAX
- The standard weapon M4A1 is always a safe choice
It will be exciting to see what prevails in the coming weeks. 3 setups as Grau replacements are presented here by MeinMMO. It is possible that ARs may become temporarily obsolete and other classes, like sniper rifles, take the lead. However, with this M13 setup, you can’t go wrong.
