In Call of Duty: Warzone there’s a clever trick on how to get an easy win in the Gulag while looking incredibly cool. But when a player tried to replicate this insider trick, he ran into a problem: His opponent had seen the trick too and avoided the trap.
In the Gulag of Call of Duty: Warzone, two players compete against each other in a 1vs1 to see who gets to return to the Battle Royale. Every advantage is crucial. Since the basic scenario, the one-on-one, is always the same and everyone theoretically has a 50% chance of surviving, there are plenty of tips and tricks for the Gulag.
Spray Soldier serves as bait for nasty trap
This is the Gulag trick: About 10 days ago, a clever trick appeared in the Gulag of CoD Warzone.
The trick involves spraying an image of an operator onto the tiles in the shower room of the Gulag. The opponent hopefully shoots at this spray, giving up the surprise advantage and can be easily eliminated.
This original trick was then further developed. A player sprayed the bait on the wall, lay in wait, and was able to eliminate the charging opponent even with a finisher.
It looked elegant.
How the player failed: A few days ago, a player posted a video from his Gulag experience. Because the player suddenly felt like he was experiencing a déjà vu, as if he had seen the situation somewhere before.
His opponent in the Gulag had set the exact same trap as in the video that we embedded above.
However, since the player knew this trap, he was able to easily avoid it and eliminate the lurking player. A classic case of: “He who digs a pit for others falls into it himself.”
What’s behind it: The Gulag in CoD: Warzone is a crucial point in the game. Every player finds themselves again and again in the situation of needing to win a 1vs1 and is looking for an advantage. That’s why there are so many tricks and clips for these situations.
The incident shows what happens when a trick becomes so popular that it loses its effectiveness and is just a nice story.

If you are particularly good in the Gulag, you can apply to a company: They are looking for coaches to give other CoD players lessons in this specialty of Warzone. And they pay quite well.
