Currently, fast weapons dominate in Call of Duty: Warzone, such as the DMR 14 or the Diamatti pistols. A player on reddit now shows a nasty method to counter these weapons.
This is the current meta: With the introduction of CoD: Black Ops Cold War into the Warzone, there have been significant changes to the meta. Especially the DMR 14 suddenly dominates. It is actually a tactical rifle, but it fires assault rifle ammunition, which makes it fast and still very powerful.
Besides the DMR 14, pistols or submachine guns from Cold War play a significant role right now. The Diamatti pistols in Akimbo style and the Mac-10 are incredibly fast and literally laser the opponents away.
This is what a player shows now: A user named lfrp1 uploaded a clip on reddit titled: “How I counter the DMR/Diamatti players”.
In it, he uses a riot shield and a tactic that is generally frowned upon. Still, the clip is well received and gets support. In the fight against the overwhelming meta weapons, any means seems justified.
Frowned upon tactics are okay against meta weapons

This is the tactic: The player is using a riot shield and blocks the fast shots of his opponents. When the opponent gets closer, he throws stun and thermite grenades at him.
Such a tactic is generally not well regarded because it is hard to counter and does not require much skill.
This is how the clip is received: Although this tactic is generally unpopular, the video surprisingly receives a lot of support.
Chad_Actual comments on the clip: “Cold War problems require Modern Warfare solutions” and refers to the origin of the two setups.
The user StromV29 writes: “I respect the riot shield and the grenades more than the DMR.”
In general, it is said that at least a little skill is required for the combination of riot shield and grenades. The DMR 14 just wipes everything, no matter how well you play yourself.
