On February 12, Call of Duty: Warzone received a small new update. MeinMMO takes a look at what has changed in the Battle Royale since then. The patch notes reveal these updates.
What is the new update about? Season 1 of Call of Duty: Warzone, which is the first shared season with CoD Cold War, is approaching its end. Even though the biggest updates of this season may be behind us, regular improvements are still being made to the Battle Royale.
On the evening of February 12, a new update was released for CoD: Warzone. This appears to be a hotfix with server-side changes, so you don’t need to download a larger update for the game. Nevertheless, there are some welcome changes included.

What the patch notes say: These are quite clear and should nevertheless please many Warzone players.
This hotfix finally addresses the annoying issue with the broken hit markers. This was one of the most troublesome bugs in recent times, affecting numerous players after the update from February 5.
The hit markers were displayed inconsistently or not at all when hitting an opponent – which is crucial in many situations. Raven Software wanted to fix this problem with priority, and they have now done so.
Additionally, the following changes have been made:
- A problem was fixed where weapon XP was not granted correctly
- Issues with some elements in the loadout menu were resolved
- Some names and labels in the Valentine’s Weekend playlist were updated

What can we look forward to in the near future? At the end of February (probably on the 25th), Season 2 is expected to begin, bringing various new content and further changes for Battle Royale and Black Ops Cold War.
Additionally, there may still be a zombie event that could transition into or initiate Season 2. It will definitely be exciting.
