In Call of Duty: Warzone there is a new method to permanently close doors. This is based on a nasty glitch and is certainly not in line with the developers’ intentions. Find out here what you should watch out for in the future, until the glitch is fixed.
What is the deal with the closed doors? Experts of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare are surely aware of a trick on how to block doors from the inside. By positioning yourself in a certain way when closing a door, you can block it, preventing anyone from getting through.
The only solution is to detonate an explosive on the other side. This briefly knocks the blocking player back, allowing you to rush in. This may be intended or a glitch. At least this “mechanic” has been in the game for a long time and has never been changed.
However, it seems that there is a bug in Warzone that actually prevents a door from ever being opened.
Glitch makes bunkers unenterable
This is the new door glitch: The YouTuber JackFrags encountered an enemy in a bunker during a sweep through the Warzone. There, the enemy holed up and could not get out. The door was blocked and JackFrags and his team assumed the “usual” door block trick. So they prepared some explosives and wanted to blow up the door as usual. In his video, the scene starts at 1:07 minutes:
But this time it did not work. The door opened briefly, but it was not possible to immediately take advantage of the breach. Apparently, the camper inside had found a trick to position themselves in such a way that they could block the door again immediately despite the shockwave from the explosion. This allowed the camper to effectively withstand indefinitely inside the bunker. In the end, they could catch the camper because JackFrags’ team lay in wait for them.
If fortune is on your side and you are not caught by the gas, you can wait in safety for some time and become virtually immortal during that time. This way, you can make it far into the endgame without having to expose yourself to danger.
This is definitely not in the developers’ intentions and the matter is likely already being analyzed by the devs. Currently, however, there is no information about it.
What can you do against the door glitch? Until the glitch is fixed, there is probably not much you can do when this situation arises. You can only hope that the bunker with the door is not in the final circle. Otherwise, try to ignore the campers as best as you can and watch out that they do not suddenly come rushing out of the bunker and catch you from behind.
