In Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare, there seem to be connection issues today, on the evening of May 14. Players report disconnections and disruptions.
What’s going on? Since this evening, Thursday, May 14, around 6:00 PM, there appears to be a disruption in Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare. Current Google trends indicate an increasing number of reports since that time:
The disruption website allestörungen.de also reports increasing disruption reports. According to the page, there is a growing number of player reports with issues in the popular shooter. Apparently, they are unable to connect to either the Battle Royale or the multiplayer of Modern Warfare.
What is the current server status? However, all servers are online. There have been no reports from the official Twitter channel of Call of Duty or Infinity Ward (the developers) as of 6:45 PM.
In our test, MeinMMO also did not identify any disruption in Call of Duty (neither Multiplayer nor Warzone on PC). It seems this situation may resolve itself soon.
According to the official disruption page from Activision Support, all servers are online. However, there were issues reported on the page yesterday, May 13. These might be recurring. We will keep you updated.
Update – 7:00 PM: Players are now also speaking up in the subreddit for Modern Warfare, including from the Mediterranean and Brazil. Apparently, there are global problems.
Disruptions and Problems in Call of Duty
Recently, there have been ongoing issues with the servers and connection to Call of Duty. On April 2, 2020, there were disruptions throughout Battle.net that lasted several days and affected players in Call of Duty, Overwatch, World of Warcraft, and more.
However, there have also been significant issues with server stability in recent times. During the weekend of May 1 to May 3, there were severe lags, server issues, and empty lobbies in Modern Warfare and Warzone.
MeinMMO author Philipp Hansen ruined this entire weekend because at that time, there was a particularly cool playlist with Shipment and Shoot House, as well as double experience points.
