Mid-Season 4 of Call of Duty: Warzone is live. We rummage through the patch notes with you and show the highlights of the new content, changes in balancing, and the key details of the update.
Call of Duty: Warzone features a live season system and regularly brings new, free content to the game. Usually through a season and a mid-season update.
At 6 PM on July 27, the Mid-Season 4 went live. Included are new game modes, fresh cosmetics, balance adjustments, and live events that will accompany you over the next four weeks.
MeinMMO summarizes the essential information from the patch notes. Here you can find a quick overview of Mid-Season 4 without too many details.
By the start of Mid-Season 4, there will also be a new zombie mode on Rebirth Island, and we will embed the trailer for you here:

CoD Warzone: Mid-Season 4 – Content & Playlist
What’s included in the update? Right at the start, the new zombie mode ‘Rebirth of the Dead’ goes live. Killed players do not respawn but return as zombies on the map and can fight for their “lives” again.
This operates quite similarly to the Halloween event 2020, when you could scare around the map as a zombie:
The mode will stay in rotation for two weeks, and from August 11, the ‘Titanium Trails’ will go live, which are based on the popular Iron Trials modes.
Instead of ‘Iron’, there is now ‘Titanium’ because this is happening alongside a crossover: Warzone is teaming up with the Terminator.
In conjunction with this, two skin bundles themed around the Terminator will be released. Additionally, a live event will run where you can earn free cosmetics, such as business cards in the Terminator look:
Other new content:
- In-Match Event: Cursed Chests Fortune’s Keep
- Special chests with good loot will appear that spawn a zombie horde.
- Portable Redeploy Balloon
- You can loot such balloons and use them anywhere. However, they are not as strong as the stationary balloons.
- Bombers on Caldera
- The bombers are back in the game but will be closely monitored by the developers to see if the new aircraft fit in.
- New Assault Rifle Vargo-S
- The weapon has been preemptively declared a meta candidate due to the developer’s description: “This rifle trades firepower for improved accuracy and fire rate and excels in engagements at medium and long range”.
The playlist for the next four weeks will be embedded here:

The Mid-Season 4 does not necessarily shine with a lot of new content but brings special game modes that will remain online for four weeks and have live events in tow.
A lot has changed with the weapons, which often brings a new dynamic to the matches. As soon as the first players have had their hands on them and formed an opinion on the changed weapons, we will revise our list of the best weapons in Warzone.
Until then, let us know your opinion on Mid-Season 4 and leave a comment.
