The roadmap for Season 4 of Call of Duty: Warzone is live. With “Vondel”, there is a new medium-sized map. You can find the complete roadmap for the battle royale here on MeinMMO.
On June 14, the new season of Call of Duty: Warzone goes live. Yes, “Warzone” – not “Warzone 2”. The name was recently changed, just like the logo of the “Call of Duty” franchise.
Meanwhile, the roadmap for Season 4 is online, and we present the content to you. The highlight is a new map for the battle royale.
You can view the roadmap here:
What does Season 4 bring? The biggest part definitely includes the new map. But there were also some announcements aside from that:
- New Map “Vondel”
- Dynamic Fog
- New Rule “Revival”
- Revenge Symbol
- Adjustments and new DMZ faction
- New Vehicle
- New Events
- Adjustments in Al-Mazrah
- Mid-Season Outlook
What information is available on the individual points, we will outline here. You can also read the details on the English CoD blog (via callofduty.com).
What kind of map is this? Vondel is set in the Netherlands and is approximately between Al-Mazrah and Ashika Island in size, offering 15 points of interest – including a zoo, a football stadium, and a medieval castle.
At launch, Vondel will be live with the revival mode (72 players) and will come for the DMZ mode (18 players).
It is an urban map with many buildings, and at first glance, it seems like the exact opposite of Al-Mazrah. Here are a few images from the blog:
What about dynamic weather? For the first time in the history of Warzone, the weather is supposed to change during a match – parts of Vondel will then be in thick fog.
The focus is on the DMZ mode, and the fog can appear during an infiltration. However, the weather can also change in the other modes.
Enemies are supposed to still be easily recognizable in the fog at medium range. However, battles at great distances will become a challenge.
How is “Revival” changing? The popular mode is receiving “Dynamic Resurgence Teams” – a significant balance adjustment.
If a team member leaves the team or disconnects from the game, the revival timers for the remaining team are adjusted. You will return faster to compensate for the loss of the team member.
If the lost member returns, the timer resets to its normal value.
What happens in DMZ? All of your progress will be reset, similar to the start of Season 2. Earned cosmetics will be retained, but missions or also unlocked insurance slots for your weapons will disappear.
The mechanics will be adjusted, and you will get a new control center for your missions. There will also be a new faction, Phalanx Faction, urgent missions that are only briefly available, but also run only briefly, and further adjustments for the extraction mode.
What else is there to know? There are a few more innovations, such as the new vehicle “TAV” – an amphibious transporter – fresh in-match events, and a revenge icon. With the icon, you can directly recognize when an enemy is nearby who has already eliminated you in this match.
What happens in the Mid-Season? A few weeks after the start of Season 4, the Mid-Season brings further adjustments. This includes the new Gulag, but also the battle royale for the new map Vondel. In addition, another in-match event is expected to launch.
