What’s the trick about? A player has discovered a clever trick on how to apparently easily and in one hit bring helicopters down from the sky with a little finesse.
No weapon is even required for this. You just need a specific item – and you’ll become the helicopter killer.
Reddit user Ernis766 stumbled upon this method by chance while he wanted to scout an opposing team that was putting him in trouble.
How does the trick work? It isn’t really complicated. To get a better look at the enemy troop, Ernis766 simply took out a reconnaissance drone and let it take off.
Through the drone’s camera, he could watch the enemy team as they boarded a helicopter and flew in his direction. He then just guided the small flying device into the fully occupied enemy helicopter.
He was then amazed by the effect. The collision was enough to make an apparently completely undamaged helicopter explode immediately and eliminate all occupants.
In short: If you have the chance, take out a remote-controlled reconnaissance drone and steer it into the helicopter. You can find these scattered in crates on the battle royale map.
