Everything about the Pacific update
When can I play Caldera? The Pacific update will be playable on December 8 at 6 PM. However, not all players will have access to the new map “Caldera” at that time.
Only buyers of CoD: Vanguard can start immediately and dive into the game modes on the new map. If you haven’t purchased Vanguard, you’ll have to wait an additional 24 hours:

- Non-buyers: Caldera access on 09.12. at 6 PM
During these 24 hours, non-buyers will only have access to 2 versions of the small “Rebirth Island” map: “Resurgence” and “Mini Royale” will be available at launch.

All about the content and the island “Caldera”
What is there to know about the map? The new map “Caldera” is a volcanic island in the middle of the Pacific and feels very different from the old map “Verdansk”. Instead of gray concrete walls from the Cold War, you enter a green island paradise with many beaches, vacation vibes, and no skyscrapers with endless staircases.
The developers report that the new map resembles the old map only in one aspect: its size. Otherwise, we get a whole new experience that has been created based on feedback to Warzone since its release.
If you want to take a tour of the new map right away, you can find early gameplay of Caldera here:
What else is coming to the game? Warzone is not just getting a new map. The Pacific update is a complete overhaul that will influence many aspects of the game and create a completely new player experience.
- New gameplay options
- Nearly 40 new weapons
- New storyline set in World War II
- Insane planes
- Brighter, more beautiful map
