In Call of Duty: Warzone there is a truck that traps players with no chance of escape, letting them die there miserably. By now, the place is seen as a big joke and players are having fun with it.
What’s the deal with the death truck? On the Warzone map, there is a damaged truck that often has useful things in its cargo area. For example, one can find lucrative contracts, bounties, or weapons. So players innocently climb in to grab the loot. After all, that is part of the Warzone gameplay concept.
But once you’ve loaded your pockets, the harsh reality hits. No matter how you try, you cannot leave the truck anymore! This is because the opening is slightly uneven, and you cannot jump over it or use it as a jump-off point to get out. Windows in Warzone are sometimes rebellious and don’t easily allow for a climb-out.
So you are stuck and will either be shot by another player eventually or die miserably in the gas of the death zone.
Death truck becomes a popular trap for the unsuspecting
What do players do with the truck? The truck has been present since the beginning of the Warzone game mode, and now some players know about the place. Therefore, they make a sport out of luring unsuspecting opponents into the trap and reveling in their suffering.
This works either by throwing good loot into the truck or using oneself as bait. For example, a reddit user entered the truck and made noise. Immediately, an opponent came, killed him, and wanted to loot. But when he was in the truck, he couldn’t get out, and the killed player laughed last and loudest.
Can you really not get out? Indeed, there is a method that has been proven to work for getting out. However, you need a teammate to drive a vehicle right next to the truck so that the trapped player can teleport out of the truck to the car in this action. But those who don’t have friends won’t escape the truck alive.
What are the developers doing about the truck? Nothing. Because even though this is clearly a bug that has been in the game for a long time, the devs have not done anything about it so far. So it is quite possible that they now see the death truck as a feature and attraction that they will never remove.
