CoD Warzone will receive a completely new game mode called Payload with the upcoming update “Season 4 Reloaded”. Find out what makes this mode special and how it differs from the usual Battle Royale here.
What is the new mode? On July 15, 2021, the update Season 4 – Reloaded will be released in CoD Warzone. This will introduce a new game mode called Payload.
In this mode, two teams of 20 players each fight over a convoy of trucks.
But unlike the previously available mode Tank Royale, not every team has a truck; it’s about an entire convoy.
20vs20 with trucks – Here’s how Payload works
How does Payload work? In the new Payload mode, it’s not about the classic final victory in Battle Royale, where only one player or team remains.
Instead, depending on the team, you have a fixed objective: The attackers need to destroy the trucks, while the defenders must protect them and guide them to the target area.
On the way to the target, the trucks rumble comfortably through the Warzone, stopping regularly at checkpoints. Anyone familiar with games like Overwatch or Paladins should be familiar with the gameplay principle of Payload.
Players have respawns, but must parachute in from the air each time and gather equipment. Additionally, attackers can not only buy weapons and gear but also set up special obstacles for the convoy, creating deadly ambushes.
What other innovations are coming? In addition to the new game mode Payload, Season 4 Reloaded will also introduce a new SMG called OTs 9. It has a 20-round magazine, which it quickly fires. Additionally, there’s a heavy steel club as a deadly melee weapon.
Furthermore, you can look forward to an automated turret as an additional killstreak.
All these goodies will come to the Warzone on July 15, 2021, as part of the big mid-season update. However, those who prefer grim figures in Berlin will be delighted about the Zombies update “Mauer der Toten”.
