On the Call of Duty Twitter account, a new screenshot of the Pacific map for Warzone was shown. There you can see the different areas and points of interest. However, some players fear that there are again too many buildings on the map.
What are the details? In a screenshot, the entire map can be seen, divided into different zones. Overall, there are 15 areas, including the docks, the submarine base, or the village.
Within the areas, there are several points of interest marked with orange dots. The map is also set in the Pacific in 1944, thus in the setting of World War II.
The Twitter account also calls on players to mark their preferred landing point and thus plan in advance how the rounds on the new map should begin.

Players fear too many buildings and a too small map
How is the map being received? The first reactions to the details of the new Pacific map are very mixed. Some users find the map very successful at first glance. Many are especially looking forward to the sandy beach.
But there are also concerns.
User Mrheadshot0 writes on reddit: “Way too many buildings, the map should rather be an open jungle map than another campfest like in Verdansk. It looks like the solo mode will be ruined again, because there will always be a building to camp in, no matter how the circle plays out.”
He is not alone in this concern. However, user C4RS200 assumes that the buildings will be significantly smaller, which could solve at least one problem of Verdansk. This assumption is supported by the previous screenshots seen of the map. There are houses everywhere, but the fewest of them are really tall. The setting also suggests that there will be no equivalent to the giant building blocks from Verdansk.
Another concern of the players is that the new map will be smaller than the old one. Although there is no evidence for this, the worry is still expressed repeatedly.
The exact size of the map will only be revealed at release. According to an official statement, the map should be approximately the same size as Verdansk.
New map brings fresh air to Warzone
What changes with the new map? With the new map, there are some adjustments:
- The game is switching to Vanguard’s technology. This means adjusted graphics, engine, and a different gameplay experience.
- The map changes completely.
- Almost 40 new weapons from Vanguard will come into play.
- A new anti-cheat system for PC is being introduced.
- New events are planned.
When will the map be released? Caldera will be available on December 9 for Warzone. If you purchase Call of Duty: Vanguard, you will have access to the fresh Warzone 24 hours earlier.
