In Call of Duty: Warzone, numerous fans are calling for a feature that is common in other battle royales. They want to finally take action against cheaters.
Update April 1st: As publisher Activision has announced, an in-game player reporting feature will soon be introduced. They shared this along with the information that since release, more than 50,000 cheaters have been banned.
This feature is missing: If you encounter a cheater in Warzone, you currently cannot report them. The option to report opponents is not implemented.
There are therefore heated discussions on reddit about this topic. After all, many other games have exactly such a feature, and it would make no sense for it to be missing in Warzone.
Players want to finally report cheaters
How the topic came up: User “Synthin” uploaded a video on reddit showing him watching a supposed cheater while playing. You could see how the player apparently knew exactly where his opponents were, even though he hadn’t seen them. He then laid in wait for the opponents and took them out coldly.
Synthin wrote about the video that we need a button to report players. This received a lot of agreement.
What is said about the missing feature? There have been various comments that cheaters should simply have no place in the game, and many console players have therefore already forgone crossplay. They believe that a large part of the cheaters are on PC.
Another player mentioned that there is already a cumbersome variant for reporting, but it’s very complicated. Many fans of Warzone believe that it should be easier.
Can we expect such a feature? That’s open to speculation. The competition, such as Fortnite, offers such a feature. There, cheaters are often banned lightning-fast.
It is therefore quite conceivable that Infinity Ward will soon follow suit and make reporting cheaters easier.
Fans recently complained that a basic mechanic is missing in Warzone.
