Call of Duty: Warzone has changed a lot with its weapons in recent months and regularly tweaks something if a weapon turns out to be too strong or too popular. This gives newcomers in the meta chances to shine – we present 3 of these newcomers in Season 6.
Where do the meta assessments come from? As after every season start or major balance updates for Call of Duty: Warzone, the data experts of the battle royale are busy providing us quickly with the latest information on the weapon meta.
Leading the way are the number jugglers Anthony “TrueGameData” Zachman and James “JGOD” Godoy. Both have released new videos about the weapon meta after the start of Season 6 and also discuss 3 weapons that have not been part of the meta so far. MeinMMO introduces you to the new weapons with setups – you can find the corresponding videos below in the sources.
AK-74u – “The better Bullfrog”
What makes the AK-74u strong? For TrueGameData, the AK-74u is one of the big winners of the recent weapon weeks in Warzone. He considers the Russian submachine gun to be one of the best submachine guns with longer range at the moment, and he finds the AK better than the very popular Bullfrog.
If you are currently relying on the Bullfrog, you should take a look at the AK-74u now. In terms of mobility and range, the Bullfrog and AK are very similar, both play quite similarly. However, the AK offers you better damage and has less recoil.
TTK comparison: Close combat/chest shots
- Bullfrog: 639 milliseconds
- AK-74u: 603 milliseconds
Without attachments, the Bullfrog goes into the second damage area at about 13 meters, and the AK-74u at about 14 meters.
Where does the AK-74u have weaknesses? Due to the large standard magazines of the Bullfrog, you save the ammunition attachment on the submachine gun. This makes the Bullfrog a bit more flexible, and you can, for example, increase the range and bullet speed with a barrel. Overall, the Bullfrog and AK-74u are then on equal footing in terms of range.
In 2 values, the AK-74u loses against the Bullfrog, and you have to assess for yourself what better damage and less recoil are worth to you:
ADS and bullet speed with meta setup
- Time to aim Bullfrog: 255 milliseconds
- Time to aim AK-74u: 291 milliseconds
- Bullet speed Bullfrog: 567 m/s
- Bullet speed AK-74u: 420 m/s
Warzone: AK-74u Setup

- Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight
- Stock: KGB Skeletal Stock
- Underbarrel: Patrol Grip
- Magazine: Spetsnaz 50 Round Drum
FiNN LMG – When recoil doesn’t matter
What makes the FiNN LMG strong? The light machine gun from CoD MW rocks a very specific value in Warzone: Recoil. The FiNN is more stable than any other weapon in the game and especially with the “Longshot Advantage” barrel, it’s a laser.
After the nerf of the very stable Stoner 83, the FiNN is even strong enough to land in JGOD’s top-10 loadouts of Season 6. Sometimes, excellent recoil is enough to be able to play at the top.
If you’re currently looking for an alternative to the Stoner 83, then try the FiNN LMG. This thing is really extremely stable and deviates hardly from the target point. With the “Longshot Advantage” barrel and the Monolithic Suppressor, you can even set the rest of your setup completely to “Time to Aim” and still hit without problems.
With the “Contrary” barrels, you increase your fire rate and specialize in medium range up to 40, 50 meters. This significantly increases the damage but makes the FiNN harder to control.
TTK comparison: Long range/chest shots
- FiNN Normal: 762 milliseconds
- FiNN Contrary: 542 milliseconds
- PKM: 640 milliseconds
- RPD: 736 milliseconds
- Bruen: 638 milliseconds
- Values without open-bolt delay
Where does the FiNN LMG have weaknesses? The FiNN LMG is a typical LMG and comes with all the usual disadvantages:
- Low movement speed
- Poor mobility
- Slow aim speed
- Takes a long time to reload
Additionally, the FiNN has a small peculiarity: Headshots do not give you extra damage. Also, hits to the stomach and extremities are slightly weaker.
Warzone: FiNN Setup
- Muzzle: Suppressor (Monolithic)
- Barrel (1): XRK Longshot Advantage
- Barrel (2): XRK Longshot Contrary
- Laser: Tactical Laser
- Sight: VLK 3.0x Sight
- Underbarrel: Command Foregrip
AUG from CoD MW – High damage and fast ADS speed
What makes the AUG from CoD MW strong? Clearly: Its conversion to 5.56 bullets. This gives the AUG-MP from CoD MW a significant kick in damage and range, placing it in the top league of submachine guns in Warzone.
You combine good damage with a high aiming speed, and the AUG-MP can compete with the strongest automatic weapons. Only the MP5 from CoD MW deals even more damage:
TTK comparison: Close combat/chest shots
- AUG 5.56: 542 milliseconds
- MP5 CoD MW: 526 milliseconds
- MP5 Cold War: 562 milliseconds
- OTs 9: 561 milliseconds
Additionally, the AUG-MP has strong range, allowing it to maintain damage up to 15 meters. The damage competition cannot keep up and is at the latest at 10 meters in the second damage area. The damage per magazine with the large 60 round 5.56 magazine is also impressive.
Another advantage of the AUG: It doesn’t matter where your hits land – even hits on the toe deal damage equivalent to that of a chest hit.
Where does the AUG have weaknesses? Like nearly all weapons from CoD MW, the AUG-MP lags behind its Cold War competitors in terms of mobility. Your time to aim is strong, but in terms of movement speed and strafing while aiming, the Cold War alternatives are better.
Furthermore, the second damage area is poor, and the TTK goes straight up to 723 milliseconds when the enemy is just a meter too far away.

- Laser: Tactical Laser
