Sniper rifles are among the most popular weapons in Call of Duty: Warzone. A YouTuber and CoD expert has created a new top build with one of the strongest snipers, the AX-50, and has really cleaned up with it. We will show you how to recreate it.
Who is the expert? It’s YouTuber James “Spratt” Spratt, who produces a lot of gameplay and analysis for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on his channel and now has over a million subscribers.
Spratt is particularly known for being a strong sniper in CoD. Some of the best tips for snipers in Modern Warfare come from him.
Now he has specifically devised a new build for the AX-50 for Warzone, one of the two top snipers next to the HDR. The occasion was a bundle in the shop, the “Trickshot” bundle, which includes a special skin for the AX-50:
Top Build for the AX-50
This is the build: Spratt only uses the skin from the bundle, but customizes the weapon to his liking. He uses the following attachments:
- Muzzle: Suppressor (Monolithic)
- Barrel: 32″ Factory Barrel
- Laser: Tactical Laser
- Stock: Singuard Arms Assassin
- Grip: Stippled Grip Tape
The weapon setup is roughly equivalent to what we have already presented in our best builds for snipers in Warzone. However, this combination of attachments is more aimed at precise aiming and killing with the first shot rather than being able to take multiple shots in a row.
The strength of the build: Spratt impressively demonstrates how strong this build is in his video. On the PS4, he takes down opponents sequentially with the controller.
At the end of the round, which he concludes with a victory, he achieves an impressive 21 kills, many of which are headshots that kill instantly with the AX-50. While this is not enough for a new kill record in Warzone, it is still an impressive number. We have included the video of his nearly 15-minute round here for you:
What loadout should I take? As a secondary weapon, Spratt uses the Grau 5.56 assault rifle in his loadout. Although pro Scump claims the M4 is stronger on consoles than the Grau, Spratt swears by the latter with the following setup:
- Muzzle: Suppressor (Monolithic)
- Barrel: Tempus 26.4″ Archangel
- Stock: No Stock
- Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
- Ammunition: 50-Round Mag
With this Grau, he complements the long range of the AX-50 with an assault rifle that allows for secure hits, especially at medium range. Although the setup is without a stock, the Grau remains stable even at longer distances and offers enough mobility for close quarters combat. As equipment, Spratt uses C4 and a Stun Grenade.
The chosen perks are E.O.D., Overkill, and Amped. This means he forgoes both currently considered essential perks: KRD and Cold-Blooded, which protect against rocket launchers and thermal sights.
However, simply copying Spratt’s build and loadout is not enough to achieve a strong round like his. You need quite a bit of practice, especially with sniper rifles. Training your aim with a Warzone expert could help you. This will train your ability to aim quickly and accurately at heads and help you warm up for the next round.
