To make sure you score well in your first daily round in Call of Duty: Warzone, you can warm up in a special training mode for Battle Royale. In the process, you also train your aim so that you can hit heads better over time.
What kind of training is this? Similar to the aiming training in multiplayer, CoD expert and YouTuber TheXclusiveAce has now created aim training for Warzone. You will train in the mode:
- better aiming (especially at heads)
- holding and rushing positions
- the behavior of different weapons
The goal is to train your muscle memory so that aiming and reacting correctly becomes a reflex that you can call up directly in a relevant situation.
Unlike the multiplayer training, the Warzone course is specifically designed for situations in Battle Royale. However, you will need the full version of Modern Warfare for this special mode, as you must create your own game. If you don’t own Modern Warfare and play Free2Play, we still have some general tips and alternatives for you.
We have embedded Ace’s video here for you:
Training for Better Aiming in Warzone
Here’s how to set up the training: For the training mode, you need to create your own game in the multiplayer of Modern Warfare. The training itself does not take place in Warzone, but on a map designed to simulate certain Warzone situations.
Select the map Grazna Raid and the mode Hardpoint. This is important to train the special situations. Then you need to change the following settings:
- Game
- Time Limit: Unlimited
- Score Limit: Unlimited
- Game Countdown: 5 Seconds (optional)
- Skip Infiltration: On (optional)
- Advanced
- Zone Lifespan: Unlimited
- Initial Activation Delay Time: Off
- Player
- Max Health: 200 – this is important because sniper rifles have stronger stats in Warzone than in multiplayer, and you should still be able to kill with one shot
- Health Regeneration: Fast
- Team
- Radar Always On: Normal Sweep
- Weapon Pings on the Minimap: On
- Gameplay
- Killstreaks: Off
After that, set up four enemy bots with the “Recruit” difficulty and no allied bots in the Bot Setup. For the difficulty of the training, vary the number of enemies (about 3-6), not the bot difficulty.
This is why the settings are important: The training is not about realistically recreating Warzone, but about ingraining certain movements through repetition.
In Hardpoint on Grazna Raid, you hold a position and defend it against attacking bots. Use this to take them out with headshots, and let the bots capture the point after some time. This way, you train to rush a position against enemy players.

Therefore, it is important that the point never changes. This allows you to attack from different positions and practice various situations. The goal is to hit the head as well as possible.
Loadouts for Training – Which Weapons Should I Use?
The choice of weapons for the training is entirely up to you. However, as the goal is to hit as accurately as possible, it is advisable to use sniper rifles and assault rifles. Shotguns or the now nerfed .357 revolver are not really suitable for this.
In general, you should play with the weapons you want to use in Warzone. This ensures that you don’t focus on a weapon you will never use. You can find the best weapons and loadouts for Warzone in our special.

It is important, however, that you take the perk Scavenger so that you don’t run out of ammunition. Some other useful attachments are:
- “Overkill” so you can practice with two primary weapons
- “Fast Hands” to switch weapons faster
- C4 as a primary gadget so you can blow yourself up if you run out of ammo
General Tips & Tricks for Free2Play Players
If you don’t own Modern Warfare, you don’t have access to private matches. In this case, it is advisable to play Plunder. In Plunder, you have a regular respawn and can play as long as you want.
However, we advise starting a round solo and not joining any random team unless you are training together. This way, you don’t ruin the round for your teammates, can leave whenever you have had enough, and get the same practice since it is only about aiming and warming up.
For further improvement in aiming, use the best attachments for better aim on your weapons. These help you aim more steadily and accurately, allowing you to hit more shots. This can be more valuable than focusing on higher damage.
If you are playing Warzone on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or simply with a controller, the right deadzone settings will help you. This prevents your analog sticks from feeling “sloppy” and deviating even if you are aiming accurately. The right deadzone settings will help you both with an older controller and a brand new one.
