In Call of Duty: Warzone, there are allegations that the Twitch streamer Nadia is cheating. The former top player Doug “Censor” Martin announced that he would reveal the truth about the streamer as part of his “cheat clarification”. In doing so, he drew the ire of the community.
This is the situation:
- Many in the Call of Duty community believe that the Twitch streamer Nadia Amine is cheating: She is said to be using hacks and other aids. People are almost obsessed with the idea; videos on the topic are reaching millions of views.
- Nadia herself says: She is not cheating, she is simply the best player in CoD Warzone. Men only accuse her of cheating because they can’t accept with their fragile ego that a woman is better than them.
- Despite these cheating allegations, Nadia continues to be active and pursue her career: She is invited to Activision Blizzard events – unlike DrDisrespect.
So many people are eagerly anticipating someone finally bringing “the truth” about Nadia to light, that a former professional wanted to take advantage of that.
Ex-pro promises: “Reveal the truth about Nadia,” builds hype for video
This was the announcement: The former CoD professional, Doug “Censor” Martin, had a major success in 2011 when he won the MLG National Championship. But that was 11 years ago: Censor is playing for an academy team in 2022 and is a YouTuber.
However, he apparently still considers himself a huge pro in Call of Duty.
Censor announced that he has obtained data proving that some high-ranking players in Call of Duty: Vanguard have cheated. He said he would “hunt” cheaters, but first direct all his attention to Nadia.
With many tweets, he announced that he would be releasing a “truth video” about Nadia on Friday.
In numerous tweets and videos, he repeatedly pointed to the video.
In doing so, Censor seemed to revel in how big a deal he is and how important his revelation is to the “entire Warzone community”:
Instead of revelation, there’s a lot of hot air and a marriage proposal
This was the bizarre video: On Saturday, October 1st, the 8-minute video “THE TRUTH ABOUT NADIA” was released and it was a bizarre performance (via youtube):
- Censor appeared as “Detective Doug” in a trench coat and with sunglasses, on a jet ski and during phone calls
- Amid much fanfare, he said he noticed how obsessed people are with proving that Nadia is a cheater:
As someone who has been in the professional scene of Call of Duty for so long and has seen so much, I took a closer look.
After much setup and pre-recorded clips, he finally says after 6:30 minutes:
I said I would show you the truth about Nadia and somehow the internet has turned this into something like, that I was going to prove Nadia’s cheats and that I had clear evidence that she cheats.
I want to clarify this very quickly: My buddy made a program to catch Vanguard cheaters. I have publicly stated this several times: I am not interested in Nadia, I don’t need her. I don’t care about her, I will make an unbiased video. It’s not about fame or money for me.
The video ended with a bizarre segment where Censor travels to the Bermuda Triangle and proposes to Nadia.

Why are you deliberately ruining your reputation?
What are the reactions to the video? The reactions in the top comments are overwhelmingly negative. People apparently feel trolled and quite badly at that.
In the top comments, it says:
- “That was a big disappointment. I’ll save you all the time: Nothing will be revealed. I had hoped you would stand for the community of all gamers.”
- “Doug, you’ve taken it to heart that you are just a joke in the scene. I’m really sad.”
- “Too bad, as someone who plays CoD more, I really hoped that Censor is a trustworthy guy. But this is… the exact opposite. Why are you ruining your reputation for no reason? This is so embarrassing.”
Even internet warlord Keemstar switched from “You have my full support – I also said that she cheats and only seeks fame. She is a total fool” to “Doug Censor is a fool.”
What’s the problem with the video? Censor has constantly told in tweets that he is hunting cheaters and would “speak the truth about Nadia”. It is therefore only understandable that the two topics are conflated.
However, he wants to be understood separately:
- He hunts cheaters
- He speaks the truth about Nadia (that he doesn’t care about her at all, but still wants to marry her)
Even in the video itself, he gives the impression for 6 minutes that there will actually be a revelation, after all, he’s “Detective Doug – the crazy sniffer who can make phone calls in a trench coat”.
Ultimately, he has nothing to contribute on the subject and then blames “the internet” for somehow coming up with the idea that he would now uncover Nadia’s cheating. How could they ever assume that? No, everyone was hoping to watch Censor propose to a complete stranger.
Particularly absurd is the statement that he is not after fame or money – when it seems to be all he cares about.
It seems like Censor is trying to remain relevant after the end of his major professional career while having chosen the “largest prey” to hunt, without anything behind it.
What about the marriage proposal?? Nadia rejected it, saying she was so glad she is into women.
Censor added: His heart was broken once again. Just like when he left a model to dedicate his life to Call of Duty. Phew.
On Twitter, a user says that Censor has made a clown of himself to stay relevant. However, he is still not in the CoD league.
We reported on Censor when he announced what he had given up for Call of Duty:
