After the start of Season 5, some players in Call of Duty: Warzone are plagued by an annoying graphic bug that makes aiming with weapons almost impossible. We explain what you can do about it until the fix is released, which is already being worked on.
What is the graphic bug about: Players in Warzone are currently increasingly troubled by an annoying graphic glitch with weapons. This apparently occurs randomly during ongoing matches and prevents players from aiming properly.
The bug is not new and has occurred occasionally before (also in traditional multiplayer), but after the start of the new Season 5, reports on Reddit and social media about it have increased, and players in Warzone are now struggling with it more than ever.
This is what the bug does in detail: The bug severely distorts the appearance of the weapon, which can become so large that it blocks the entire field of view in the middle of the screen, making aiming practically impossible. The weapon looks like a large black crystal or some kind of monstrosity, which is why the bug is referred to in the community as the alien gun bug or demon gun glitch.
For example, former CoD pro Tyler “TeePee” Polchow fell victim to the bug – note that it happened at a Warzone tournament in Toronto with a prize pool of $100,000.
Even the well-known streamer DrLupo has already felt the effects of the bug firsthand.

What about a fix for the graphic glitch? The good news: a fix is already in the works. The bad news: It is still not exactly known when it will arrive.
Because officially the developers have not commented on this problem at all. Only on Trello it can now be seen that a solution for the problem is now being worked on.
Even though the fix is now confirmed, it is unfortunately still not known how long players will have to deal with this issue.
This could help against the bug until the fix: Even though the fix is still pending, clever players have already discovered a kind of workaround.
It is recommended to remove all camos (cosmetic paint jobs) from your weapons. This apparently can prevent the bug – at least with your own weapons. The glitch can still occur with dropped, looted guns, and randomly assigned weapons in the Gulag.
