In Call of Duty: Warzone, players have had to endure some crazy bugs, and one of the worst was the fixed “Demon Weapons” bug. However, it seems that it hasn’t completely disappeared.
What is this bug? It is one of the nastiest bugs that annoys players in Call of Duty: Warzone. In this bug, the weapon models distort so badly that it affects the game. The nasty “Demon Weapons” came into Warzone with the start of Season 5, and it took nearly a week until the fix came into play:
- August 10 – First known players complain about bug, fix already in progress
- August 13 – Professionals loudly complain about the “gamebreaking” bug
- August 14 – Infinity Ward promises a quick fix
- August 15 – Developers release patch for the Demon Weapons
But as it looks, the possessed weapons continue to roam in the ghost town of Verdansk.
Where is the evidence? The CoD streamer “MuTeX” posted a clip of his latest session on Twitter on August 23. There he picks up the HDR sniper rifle, which he wanted to secure from a defeated enemy:
Instead of trading his unwanted shotgun for the top sniper rifle, he carefully places the weapon back in its spot. Because the HDR is heavily bugged and hard to use in this state. The bug is therefore still present in the game.
How can I work around the bug? The bug seems to have something to do with the skins on the weapons. If you have one of the cursed guns in your hands, make sure to get rid of it and grab another weapon.
The bug no longer appears as often as it did before the fix, but it can still affect weapons. To protect your best loadout weapons, you should rely on the standard variants of the CoD arsenal and avoid crazy skins.
Will there be another fix? When the bug first appeared, there was a hint in the CoD Trello. The “Trello” is a planning tool that keeps you up to date on bug fixes from the developers. However, this entry is no longer to be found. However, the CoD creators will certainly intervene again if the bug spreads again.
