Why is the AMR-9 strong? The AMR-9 is currently one of the strongest weapons in CoD Warzone. Its low “Time to Kill” (TTK) and low recoil contribute to its popularity among players. The SMG was strengthened in the last “Call of Duty: Warzone” patch on January 23. It received both a higher fire rate and an overhaul of the “JAK Ettin Double Barrel” kit. With a 6 % higher fire rate, now at 833 shots per minute, the AMR-9 has slipped into the Warzone meta.

These mods you need for the AMR-9
With the right mods, the AMR-9 becomes really strong. wzstats.gg reveals the standard build that is currently the most played. It’s best to equip your SMG with the following attachments:
- Barrel: Tectonic Micro Suppressor (integrated)
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Underbarrel: DR-6 Hand Stop
- Magazine: 50-Round Drum
- Grip: Phantom Grip
Of course, as always, it depends on your playstyle which weapon suits you best. However, the meta is currently dominated by this AMR-9 build.
How can you further modify the weapon? If you have less trouble with recoil, you can use a different barrel on your AMR-9, for example, the “AMR-9 Enforcer Long Barrel” is recommended. This is suggested by the Warzone creator xAimbrot on YouTube.
