Hardly had the Bruen Mk9 made itself comfortable in the meta of Call of Duty: Warzone, when the LMG received a considerable nerf. Now, the second weakening followed directly and did the weapon in. MeinMMO presents you with 3 alternatives.
What is wrong with the Bruen? The Season 3 LMG Bruen Mk9 was a star in Warzone for a while. After the nerf of the Grau 5.56, the weapon was considered the best piece in Battle Royale by many players.
But the time when the Bruen was carried over the red tea carpet is finally over. After 2 nerfs, the LMG is now noticeably wobblier, and the popular hits at long distances can no longer be delivered as reliably. The Bruen remains strong, but is now better aligned with the other weapons.
It’s the perfect time to look at the competition and search for the new star in Warzone’s sky. MeinMMO looks at 3 stable weapons that can keep up with the handling of the “old” Bruen and may now be the next highlights.
Candidate 1 – Kilo 141
The Kilo is the very first assault rifle available to you in Modern Warfare from level 4 for your loadouts. A strong beginner weapon that gradually wins the hearts of pros.
If you want to try the assault rifle, use the Commando Foregrip. The somewhat odd recoil becomes much more manageable with it. The weapon feels very pleasant to handle once you’ve fired a few shots from the barrel. The recoil decreases continuously, and you can score precise hits as long as you keep your trigger held down.
As a small bonus, the weapon offers a 100-round magazine, which takes away a bit of mobility, but allows you to fire accurately aimed shots through Verdansk for what feels like forever.
The big CoD YouTuber “Vikkstar123” tried the Bruen after the nerf, and for him, the LMG no longer fits. In a recent English video, he presents his Kilo setup:

Candidate 2 – M4A1
At the launch of Modern Warfare, the M4 was the absolute best in multiplayer when it came to assault rifles. For a long time, many soldiers in Warzone also played this “No Brainer,” but then the Grau 5.56 came. Since then, it has been quiet around the weapon, which could now have a second spring.
The rifle shoots accurately and outpaces the Kilo in damage because the fire rate is set a bit higher – Kilo: 779 RPM / M4: 833 RPM – but the damage profile is identical. The CoD analyst and YouTuber “TheXclusiveAce” already saw the M4 before the recent nerf of the Bruen Mk9 in first place among the all-round weapons in Warzone. After the weakening, even more Warzone players may heed his recommendations; here is his English analysis:

Candidate 3 – M13
The weakest in damage but most stable alternative can be found in the M13. If any weapon deserves the name “Laser” in Warzone, it is this one. Hitting from the first shot is no problem, and you can easily keep the weapon on the intended point.
The downside is its relatively low damage and high TTK – here it is on par with the also relatively weak Grau 5.56. However, the Grau has a low, bullet-saving fire rate, while the M13 chews through a magazine faster than other weapons in the class can reload.
Nonetheless, we can only recommend the weapon. Its precision gives you a certain level of security: You know you will hit your enemy when you see them. This not only helps with kills but also improves your mindset when you keep in mind that you hit everything that moves.

Bonus Candidate – CR-56 AMAX
The AMAX impresses with its high damage but is a bit wobblier than the other candidates, which doesn’t directly make it a Bruen replacement. You have to correct significantly more than with the other weapons on the list, but you can take down your opponents in no time if the shots hit.
The Warzone streamer “Nickmercs” calls the weapon his “new baby” and is convinced of the assault rifle’s strength. However, he is also known as one of the best controller players and operates on a completely different level than many of the “normal” soldiers in Battle Royale. Still, these arguments should be worth a try for you. Here’s his setup:

- Ammunition: 45-Round Magazine
Other candidates may prevail, but the assault rifles listed here have the best chances of succeeding the Bruen, in our opinion. Another option currently is the MG34. The weapon deals strong damage but has mobility deficits.
